New subscriber! Another brother in Christ here. I just ordered the works from One Wind. My main concern was how warm I would be on top. They have a blanket that goes into the under quilt for winter use. I also saw a 4 piece cord set on their and my guess is those were what you needed to hold up under quilt. They hook into those plastic loops and go up and hook onto ridge line. Great amazing videos and instruction. Look forward to watching more of your videos. I’m going to do the AT in April. I’m be figuring out how to stay warm if I end up on 20 degree nights . Update: I went onto one wind website and found what I was talking about under quilt accessories, they are called adjusters and shows picture of how they attach.

Welcome to the family Brother!!!! May God Bless You on your AT Adventure. Depending on what leg your doing, the altitude can have some crazy effects on the weather. I would recommend DOWN quilts rated below your estimated low temps. You can loosen, fold back, or kick off if it's too warm. I've had too many sleepless nights for not going with down for sub freezing temps. Thank you for introducing yourself and subscribing! I look forward to hearing from you in the future!

I am longing for some outdoor overnight/2-night action with you doing what this equipment is meant to do. We have enjoyed a good bit of 'teaching.'

Brother James, Life has been kicking my butt the the past few months. A lot of issues being dealt with. I haven't been to the woods to film in a couple months. I honestly don't know how soon I'll be able to get back out.

I got the top quilt specifically to use as a liner for the GI poncho and it works great for that.

Hey John - I modified my Onewind bottom quilt to a simpler setup that I like quite a bit. I removed a lot of the plastic hardware and some of the shock cord. Essentially my cord runs in a loop with clips on head and foot ends, then I have adjusters to tighten the cord. Sort of difficult to explain, but if I see you I'd be happy to show you what I did. I understand Onewind has a system, but I prefer simplicity. Seems to me all the hardware turns what should be an easy setup into an ordeal. Just my 2 cents.

I'm still holding off any recommendations until I get a lot more field time with it.

Nice review, they just don’t make these things large enough, this would not work for me…
