Have you ever had your geolayers renders from AE flickering? I seem to get a subtle distracting flicker on every export, and I am not sure why.

yeah, it used to happen to me before, i just updated after effects and it was fine after that. Do you use deepglow as well? that might be the problem too. Also great vids btw, i watch them

Haha thanks. you know, I've actually never tried to use Google Maps or Google Earth imagery within Google layers might be possible You could always just take screenshots and manually align them and then pin them or parent them to your base map.

Yeah, it means that your MapTiler free trial has run out. You just need to go into the mapcomp settings and change the imagery profile. Choose Bing Aerial or Universal Raster and then finalize. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6WnXmAesZmgKM

Sounds like a bug. I would try some other geojsons first, and then reach out to support on aescripts if it still isn't working.

Quick question Boone. Is there a way to get a map of the Arctic inside Geolayers 3 and work with polygons inside it?

So GEOlayers is only web mercator projection. Unfortunately you can't change that. You can however check out the Globe project template. You can't really zoom in farther than country level, but you would be able to get a better view of the Arctic that way.

this is a great video, I am currently making a project which requires multiple countries but when I draw them onto the map it is anchored to the world map but is elevated which makes it to where I can only look at it from top down or it ruins the effect any advice?

Hmmm, maybe check your 3D settings for that layer. And did you draw it out through the GEOlayers panel? Might need to move it in z space by 1 pixel.

I just tested on my end and it's working, so I imagine it's some step you're missing. Be sure to update both After Effects and GEOlayers. Double check that connection to the respository, and then keyword search for world and see if any results popup at the bottom.
