Thanks for this video, I watched (big parts of) it to make sure I'm scoring my solo games correctly. My scores vary like crazy between games. I house ruled the rushing of the bot to make it more human like, if it advances on the cactus track due to the TOP of the automa tile (only) then the number of steps he takes on the river is n-1. This created some super interesting solo games so far.

Cool ideas, I also felt the bot rushed too much, I like my games to be a bit more relaxed so I get to do some long term strategies and so on :D

My copy of this arrived today. I wont get to play it for a few days, so I'll probably end up watching this video, and Slickerdrip's Boonlake solo video, a few times until then :) I just need to find a proper solo playthrough video of Bitoku now...

Nice! I am proud that I did do better than Tom (slickerdrips) did in his solo stream ;)

I don't like how the bot rockets ahead so fast.

Agree, this wont be a favourite for me solo sadly

@@BoardgameswithNiramas The player doesn't need to move every space they can, enabling them to take a reward they might prefer, so it shouldn't be too much to add some kind of priority thing to the bot, which could slow them down a little. "Move the maximum number of spaces, unless..." How about something like, "The bot's ship moves ahead the number of indicated spaces, minus the number of cactus track spaces they moved this turn"?

@@thelastmotel thats a good idea I guess, I dont like to make house rules in games, never know how that affects the balance the game is based on.
@thelastmotel3 жыл бұрын
@@BoardgameswithNiramas That's why you have to test them. Same as with any rules :) Hell, some games come unbalanced out of the box. You come up with a rule, you try it, if it doesn't work, you change it or scrap it.

@@thelastmotel I mean for solo gaming, whatever gives you a fun game right :D
