Xbox and Microsoft didn't have to give a large library of older games because of backwards compatibility. Microsoft isn't charging us to play all of our old games we already own. This was necessary for Sony because their backward compatibility only extends to PS4 games. Both have great content and great hardware. But Microsoft gives more bang for your buck because of overall accessibility.

A couple things... Xbox does not charge for cloud game saves game pass can be played on any device tablet or PC with the web browser. Also a game pass has closer to 500 games. And it is cheaper per month and every game is downloadable not just some. These are some reasons why game pass is and will always be better

Reason why xbox will be better for the foreseeable is the ability to stack and convert gold subs and xbox ultimate subs, you can get 36 months of game pass for 151 to 181 dollars if you know how.

If you compare gamepass to PlayStation plus extra then it’s really solid on both ends and you as the consumer is left with a W with whichever you choose. However if you compare gamepass to premium then it’s a ripoff since all the benefits of premium are literally free on Xbox

@@NewsanceInHD sony does not have anywhere near the money that Microsoft has, in itself Microsoft is the third company with the most money in the world so they can have losses for years and obtain long-term profits "what happens with gamepass" and the losses do not affect them to a great extent, but Sony does not have the strength to withstand those losses because it is several times smaller than Microsoft and it is true that playstation earns more money than xbox but playstation has less investment and it is such that xbox has invested more money than it that they have won and with Microsoft behind them they can afford it because they can support it in the long term until the goal is completed, Sony does that and goes bankrupt in a few years.

I will be subscribed to both tomorrow when PS Plus launches finally in Europe. The real test is going to be what Microsoft and Sony can offer in monthly updates to the game library. That's ultimately going to benefit us as gamers. I personally can't wait for A Plague Tale Requiem. And I was surprised that Stray is launching day 1 on PS Plus.

Agree Sony just launched their service(although was long overdue), now they have to prove they can compete with Gamepass, I have both services Gamepass Ultimate and PS+ Extra, I don’t care about classics so no Premium for me unless they add exclusives day one but honestly I don’t see Sony doing that because their IPs makes them too much money, see Microsoft is on another level compare to Sony they make so much money from other venues that they can afford offering day one releases while Sony is not there.

I wonder by this time next year if we're going to still be having this conversation. It was just a few months ago where Sony relaunched their gaming subscription service. Microsoft game pass is simply better because they've been doing it for longer. I have been using the premium for just a few weeks. I can say that the premium is really cool. I have access to a whole lot of games. It is especially helpful because I don't have to pay $60 or 70 bucks to get a new game I can just simply play the ones that I've enjoyed playing for years. Sony continues to update their library . The biggest pizza of advice I would give to Sony at this point would be to simply make streaming games downloadable. Primary point is, Microsoft has been operating game pass for much longer than PlayStation his head is new subscription service out. We should revisit this discussion next year to get a fair assessment as to how PlayStation is doing with its subscription service.

As a sony fanboy I can say gamepass its definitely the better deal in terms of price and games. However, as much as I love the wide selection of games on the gamepass theres not really any games that I want to go out my way to play. Alot of games I tend to like are either sony exclusives or come out on both systems as a result I tend to go out my way to buy the games I want physically. Which leads to my next point, as a person who collects physical media neither service caters to me as I only rent the lisence therefore the game can be taken away from me at any point. Another reason I buy physical is that I rarely ever buy games day 1 (you can thank destiny 2 and cold war for that) so day 1 game pass doesn't really appeal to me as Im happy just to wait (Except hollow knight silksong will definitely have to buy that day 1). The main reason I have bought ps plus premium is for the ps5 games (I own 0 of the ones in the collection) and to stream them games as Im often all over the country due to work. If game pass had any of the ps exclusives I would switch in a heart beat. What I would love to see with ps premium in the future is to see the libary of ps1, 2 and psp games to expand and some other incentive to keep me on premium. In a years or 2 time I should hopefully be settled therefore the streaming would be no longer needed and would instantly switch to essential. TLDR: Ps fanboy agrees Xbox game pass is definitely superior unless Playstation implementd further incentives similar to Game pass i.e day 1 releases (highly unlikely) or come up with a unique concept. Im only subscribed to Ps Plus premium as I dont own any ps5 games besides Cold war and I like streaming.

I just joined the Microsoft family been a long time PS user and what was the last straw was that Sony kept screwing me over when trying to start the repair on my console online but for PS Plus the extra cost is either $400 or $500 you may have missed the fact that there are TWO editions of the PS5 the digital edition and the one with the Blu-Ray disc drive. Depending on how you subscribe to game pass you can save a lot more monthly, by turning Xbox gold into game pass for example. If PS makes all first party games available day 1 it’s game over because while I own an Xbox series console, I admit the PS exclusives are better - kind of doubt it though , they make Sony a lot of money being sold individually. However a lot of those exclusives are going to PC or have even ended up on Xbox (persona 5) so as time goes on they seem less exclusive (meanwhile nintendo is the definition of exclusive lol)

You are wrong, you don't exclusively need a PS5 console for PlayStation Plus Premium gaming. You can instal the Playstation Plus app on windows but you need DualShock 3 or 4 not DualSense to be able to play. (Although there is a bypass by installing something, where you could even use Xbox controller or even keyboard and mouse).

I have a Nintendo switch and love it. I would really enjoy playing the Spider-Man games on the PlayStation and there’s a few Xbox titles I would enjoy but I’m really OK with just sticking with Nintendo. I am anxious for them to give us a super switch, especially if they offer super Nintendo themed joy cons. I desperately need some better graphics on my favorite games but me and my kids get the most enjoyment from this system. I honestly wouldn’t spend the money to buy another system just to play a few games on my own, however just a week ago I signed up for Xbox game pass and have been loving the additional options available on my iPad And I absolutely think this is the best possible option for me. I’ll never spend another $500 on a system that only I play. For that reason Nintendo is always going to win. But I don’t mind spending $15 a month to get some really fun additional titles. I got to say I wish PlayStation would do the same thing so I can play Spider-Man and that one that’s kind of like breath of the wild for bidden west or something like that. I I love Xbox gamePass

Gamepass beats ps plus by leaps and bounds. Even if ps puts their games day 1 on the service it still doesnt compete. Ps has 10 live service games coming amd VR2 to worry about so they will have less ps5 games to come. Xbox back compatibility is a big one, enhanced older games with auto hdr and fps boost, the microsoft rewards system gives you gift cards for playing games so basically free money, accessibility giving you multiple copies of a game instead of having to buy each one like on the ps side, EA play, riot games, activision/blizzard, bethesda/zenimax, i believe ubisoft one is coming as well, also xbox is working having VRR when streaming. Gamepass has so much going for it and xbox is all in while ps is getting the basics but isnt focused on it.

As a person who doesn’t to much play old games the PS5 is perfect for me , as long as I can play the latest gen I’m good. PS3 games just don’t do it for me anymore. I own a Xbox Series S and X & Gamepass is over rated it has it ups and downs it has its occasional heavy hitters but Microsoft exclusives don’t hit the way PlayStation do. And a lot of games are old and fillers on GP. It’s great for kids. But hardcore gamers are still buying games. Because neither service are offering the triple aaa for real real on day 1

Exactly nobody is subscribing to Gamepass just to play on a Mobile device it's just a bonus addition to the subscription on Console and PC. Gamepass Ultimate is amazing and it's going to continue getting even better with all of XBOX new 1st party Studios. The market for both of these are PC users and It's not even comparable. Xbox is by FAR better. The simple fact that you can actually download the games with Xbox makes all the difference. With PS plus it's streaming so you can't change any of the graphical settings. As long as PS Plus is streaming it can never compete

Don't you love when one company has the better service. But the other delivers a better running console. I grew up on Xbox and Nintendo. Played on a Playstation for the last decade. I love both companies' products. Xbox always has great os, and online services never disappoint. Playstation makes a brilliant console that is dead, realible even in horrible conditions, very easy to fix or repair. However, their os is just alright if not kinda buggy. And their online service sucks. They tend to be late to the party with certain features or remove the ones people love. Yeah anyhow enjoy what you enjoy

Eh, I don't care about old games.. I don't buy the recent console just to play a pixelated game from 2000.. If both can give you 3rd party games and the other can give you amazing exclusive games on its catalogue, then I choose the one with amazing exclusive games.. There's no point for me to get a crapbox or a crapbox gamepass.. PS plus extra is a dream come true for me.. I already played amazing PS exclusive games amounting to $200 and I just paid $70 for it.. PS plus extra is the best!

Honestly as someone who used to be a massive Sony fan,I've found all their exclusives to be so...samey these days. third person action adventure with stealth elements open world...lots of cutscenes. again and again and again. I miss the old days PS3 and older where they experimented more and had more niche titles that didn't feel so samey. TLOU,GOW,HZD,Spiderman,Ghosts...all fit that exact same profile. It's so easy to get burnt out on the same formula.

OK but does PS have what Gamepass Ultimate has yet??? Mobile gaming wherever you play if you have good connection??? Yes Xbox app has remote as well as Playstation but you have to have a system set up on same wifi as your PS System, not with your Xbox app and system bc with that you can remote play anywhere though does PS have NO system needed way to play yet, like Gamepass does already have. That's lit the reason I only use Xbox gamepass ultimate or stadia etc. Bc that right there even tho Gamepass should have single subscription type for mobile bc I have to pay full Ultimate price to play on phone when I don't have system or PC so wtf Microsoft??? You lit have everyone hooked until right there but sony ik you can do way better... I totally disagree. Sony exclusives are quality titles dude, they cost millions to make. If they put everything on Ps+ the developers would lose millions in revenue.
