@businessbuilder922 жыл бұрын
Well it's been done in entertainment, in books, in plays with varying degrees of success. the kkk have free speech they have committed many many crimes but they are still able to express themselves. speaking of the kkk expressing themselves charlseton white is a *self proclaimed* agent of chaos anything he said might be true it might not but its definitely 100% propaganda for his narrative. forsure if it doesn't support his narrative you will never hear him admit to it end of story

Papoose had a whole song series called Law Library. Nas told stories forward and backwards, he told a story as if he was the gun talking. JayZ rapped about the Psychology of it all. What goes on in these people’s minds and why they do what they do. There’s so much you can rap about the streets, other than real crimes and dissing the dead bruh.

Rap is a double edged sword. It can be used against us when we promote negativity but it also can be used against the 'powers that be' by uplifting our people. Our people need music that inspires us beyond this basic street sh*t and provokes thought. Either these artists are dumb or we're dumb if we can't raise the bar in rap and vibe to a higher standard and quality of music. Look how far from the roots of rap we've strayed from. Being the voice of the street doesn't mean glamorizing the struggle for money, it means being the voice of truth for love of your people and the art. Music is power. And if you're going to promote the same watered down message of self destruction by which you participate that influences our youth....then they need to lock y'all stupid asses up. The goal is either getting out the streets or changing it for the better.✌🏿🤍

One thing is telling stories of what you saw in the hood, and another is rapping saying you do these things and join gangs like they are a country club or some shit

You think the judge and prosecutor care either way? Only your defense cares what inspired the song.

Keeping it real in rap doesn't mean admitting to actual crimes. Now I don't know about the California law pertaining to rap lyrics but the one in New York still allows them to use them when it can be proven that it ties the person or persons to a crime. Any fool that still running around murdering people and actively banging while having millions of dollars belongs in jail. And this is coming from someone who was prison. Because the same people Boosie is trying to save would put a cap in him.
