Just for information, the real problem with the multi (and this is true for many ducatis, I have had several) the fuel map is badly compromised in the low rev / low throttle range. I do not have specific information on this, but my theory is that this is in order to meet EU emission regulations. I have spent a lot of time improving the fuel map on my '13 multi (1200) and it is now an absolute darling all the way down to 1700 rpm - so I can do 30 kph in 3rd gear, and 60 kph in 6th gear, absolutely smooth, and smooth roll-on from there and up. This was not easy to achieve, I have spent many, many hours finding solutions for a range of fuel problems, but it was definitely worth it. The bike is an absolute pleasure to drive, and has awesome torque from low rpm - much more than my 1260 multi. As the '13 multi uses a different ECU, I can't apply the same solution to my 1260 multi, so that one is still an absolute bitch below 2500 rpm and not great below 3000 rpm. Perhaps I will work up the courage to try to find solutions for the Bosch ECU, I haven't quite decided yet.

Or you just try a smaller front sprocket, if you are willing to spare a view km/h of top speed. One tooth down did make the trick on the 950, might work on the 1260 too...

@@spokewanderer It is definitely something to think about. Although I am thrilled about the results on the '13, I don't know if I am prepared to put in that much effort again for the 1260

hey if only do 14 on the front and leave the rear stock at 40 what will be the difference thanks

14 in front and 40 in the back?! Not sure exactly. Check this website, there you can simulate different setups - also all kind of Brands and Models. www.gearingcommander.com/

Hi, many thanks for the video. I’m having issues with the installation of the upper chain sliding shoe. Any idea how to replace it?

i see that you have puig sport screen with iconic parts spacer but before you had palmer products screen bracket, so do you find current setup better?
@spokewanderer Жыл бұрын
Good observation! Yes I have the Palmer "spacer" too. Both are great products and there is no special reason why I got currently the Iconic spacers on. 👍

@@spokewanderer so with the short screen and spacers you have adequate wind protection?
@spokewanderer Жыл бұрын
@@leosined4536 when we talk about helmet buffering - yes. I have the Scorpion ADX-1 and it works perfectly with the peak on. You also have to consider, where I am currently, we have temperature's of above 40 degree Celsius. Any little wind is good to have. I had this configuration back in Europe for a 2 week ride and no issues, including rain rides.

Hi, what is the manufacturer and part number of your new front sprocket? Thanks
@spokewanderer Жыл бұрын
Both sprocket are from JP Sprockets. Just check with your dealer or their website on the specific model.

Does this smaller sprocket make the speedometer read incorrectly?

Speedo reading is on front wheel!

I did this change, front 14T, rear 41T and chain swap 525ZVMX2G120 (525 Series) ZVM-X2, now I have a big humming noise that is annoying, OMG, soooo annoying, I have check if this is too tight or loose, I have lubricated a lot the chain, but no, have checked everything, even the bearings, but no, I think the sprockets and chain configuration is the cause, I saw you used a front cushioned sprocket, is this helping for that noise? I am thinking to revert back to the OEM set up, what are the parts numbers you used for front and back sprocket? Do you have any noise? Mine is a MTS 1200S 2015
@Geocometsigg4 ай бұрын
Did you fix it? I have the same issue, I think the front of the swing arm is too fat and so the chain is hard against the chain sliders, will try 15t again.

@@Geocometsigg no, I am planning to end the season with this configuration, since I live in Michigan, I am winterizing from September to April, so, before start the next season I am planning to change first the front sprocket with a cushioned one, if that doesn't work, I will be back to the OEM configuration. 🤦🏻♂️ What about you, have you tried something?
