HDMI 1.4 1080p @ 120Hz, 1440p up to 120Hz, and 4K at 30Hz. HDMI 2.0 1080p @ 120Hz up to 4K 60hz plus HDR. HDMI 2.1 1080p@120Hz up to 8k 120Hz. Question for you, what is the display output of a PS5 ? Most TVs will tell you incoming source data. My finding a lead to 4K @ 120Hz or 8k @ 60 Hz being maximum that it can put out. So assuming I can still read, if the PS5 comes with a HDMI cable that is the current and best HDMI available. DP 2.0 is the only similar cable specs wise. As for durability, I find this somewhat pointless. Unless you’re unplugging it and taking it places. Even in that case the HDMI port on the PS5 will likely fail too. So why exactly is cable A HDMI 2.1 better then HDMI cable 2.1 with the same specs? I understand there are some 48GBs cables, but really those are more for high end graphics not the mediocre compressed 2-4K you get out of a PS5 .

Main reason for me was the length; the one that comes with the PS5 is too short for my set up; so needed something just a bit longer 🙂

Not sure about you guys but my PS5 (slim version) came with a High speed hdmi cable, not a ultra high speed. And per other reviews, the same happens elsewhere.

the hdmi it comes with is fine, you will not notice any difference between stock 2.1 hdmi and a $50 2.1 hdmi

The big upside for me was the length. With the placement of the HDMI ports on the TV and where the PS5 sits it couldn't reach. But we're also upgrading our TV so it was more a future-proofing purchase

I have to disagree. Rocket league was struggling with the provided cable. I used my Xbox series x cable, and it worked perfectly .

@@jmacsss well I just bought it for my ps5 and it's working like a charm so idk I guess it really depends on your monitor or TV, and also how you have your settings at, unfortunately I don't play rocket league but I play for honor. What do you mean by struggling like the picture wouldn't hold?

Its just nice to have. But every other HDMI 2.1 cable withe the same specs would be as good as this. For my setup its to short. i need 5 meters.

Yep, standard 2.0 is completely fine! I do recommend a 2.1 if you can get it though ☺️

The biggest differences are the length (1.5m stock vs. 3m PowerA), and the data transfer capabilities allowing better processing power and 3D audio if your set up has the capability to do so

It's a little bit better, but also very dependant on the TV you have. Also for me, the major selling point was the additional length.

If you have display port 1.4 (or 1.4a) I'd opt for that over a HDMI cable - but that's my personal preference! If you prefer HDMI or you only have that free, then this cable would absolutely work for that.

Nice I just got it from watching this vid off Amazon and I got scammed the back just came in beat up, tape wasn’t even on and it was a regular PS5 HDMI , can’t even file a report on them the Amazon support said . So pissed

@@XhiaGaming I tried to with Amazon support man , they are going to get me another but I have to wait another 2 weeks which is lit , and I have to take it to ups to return it and pay for shipping . It really sucks but I’m hoping I don’t get scammed again

Was the seller PowerA or a 3rd party? Maybe reach out to the company directly to see if they can send you a new one first

@@XhiaGaming power A man , got it off Amazon and when I opened it , it was a regular PS5 Hdmi cable , all black , my box was beat up and tape wasn’t on all the way so I had a feeling it wasn’t gonna be it and sure enough it wasn’t , thought I was trippen and I came to your vid and nope a whole different HDMI I got in the box crazy
