At this part here 1:00 you clicked on a google extension for the website page to scroll down beautifully. What is that extension or feature called?
@DiviMundo2 ай бұрын
I really liked that extension but for some reason, Google has removed it from their store. There are a couple of alternatives but I haven't tried them yet: chromewebstore.google.com/detail/autoscroll/occjjkgifpmdgodlplnacmkejpdionan chromewebstore.google.com/detail/simple-autoscroll/fgecljolecpahpphjjhfhgiimljpkodo

Thank you for making this videos. I actually have a question regarding page speed. Every accessibility change you did had a negative impact on the performance score. Do you have maybe videos how to tackle this point as well? It ‚s always a battle with GT Metrix and Google Page Speed insights 🙄
@DiviMundo11 ай бұрын
You're welcome! :-) That's probably because the page cache is purged automatically when the page is updated. Before the cache is re-generated (often after the first logged out page view), the performance speed will often be lower. But the accessibility improvements should not have any longterm effect on pagespeed, nor negative or positive. Try to make 3-5 pagespeed tests before and 3-5 pagespeed tests after and compare the best results for a more complete comparison.

For some reason this is not working. I made the child theme via Child Theme Configurator, then activated it, then put in the code in the php file, and saved it, but when i reload the link in Page Insights, it says the problem is still there. HELP ME PLEASE.
@DiviMundo2 ай бұрын
Perhaps it’s a cache issue? Try to purge the site cache and CDN (if you use that) and run the test again.

@@DiviMundo Dude, thanks. I did that before I saw this comment, but that was 100% the problem.

Just a FYI this does not make you compliant per ADA guidelines. Google does not truly track ADA compliance. This same website I am sure would truly fail the WWW3 ADA compliance

Hi, your video has been of great help! The step-by-step is really good and it sorted out lots of my issues. There are however a couple of more problems with the 'Links do not have a discernible name' section. I have managed to sort it out for images, however not for icons. The shopping cart icon is one of the problems along with the 'back' and 'forth' arrows on our homepage banner. It would be great with a video or guidance about how to sort this! Aside from the icons, this also seems to happen with a couple of other items, but I am not sure how to describe them without showing the screenshot.

Thanks Kazbar! The icons are a bit more tricky, but I'm planning an second tutorial that is more in-depth. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for making this video, we had the same issues on our website so thanks to you I have now fix all those, however we have the same SEO issues like you have shown in the video, could you please make a part II video to show us all how to fix those as well? Thanks again.

Glad you liked it! 🙂 That’s a good idea, I’ll add that (and the page speed score) to my list.

Hi! Please help me! How to delete Divi Form error message? I need only red fields!
@DiviMundo2 ай бұрын
You can add this snippet in Divi » Theme Customizer » Additonal CSS: .et-pb-contact-message { display:none; } However, this will also hide the success message since it has the same class as the error message (strange, I know). If you want to have more options for the Divi contact form, I would recommend the plugin Divi Contact Form Helper from Pee-Aye Creative.

Glad you liked it Tamás! That’s a really good idea. I managed to bump my latest Divi project to 99/100 so that should be feasible. I’ll add to my list. 🙂

This is for WordPress when using the theme Divi. But some parts, like color contrast and heading hierarchies, are universal for all platforms.

Your child theme functions.php code for fixing scaling and zoom did not work for some reason. This code does work: // Remove the viewport meta tag from parent theme remove_action( 'wp_head', 'et_add_viewport_meta' ); // Add the new viewport meta tag function custom_et_add_viewport_meta(){ echo ''; } add_action( 'wp_head', 'custom_et_add_viewport_meta' );
