the best piece of advice I got from this video is definitely the “my job every day is to just do the the work”. Most of the time the pressure I put on myself to make something good right away is so much that I end up doing nothing because of that expectation, and that’s about the most unhealthy mindset one could have. Also what I like to do with my music, even though some will disagree, I like to open up my DAW at a BLANK template, so I can just have fun & not fall into such a formulaic pattern. I pretend that I’ve never made a beat in my life & I just experiment with different ways to start a beat up... keeps it fun 👍🏼

Idk, after almost a year of trying to get more creative ive probably had just over 1k projects that just suck. I am getting better at making sounds and stuff but when it comes to creativity I don't think I'm meant for it.

Yoo great vid man, I gotta question tho: how can an artist (like me) choose a genre of music and stick to it? I've heard being "multiple genres" can effectively hurt ur brand as an producer n artist, tho I have experimented with 2 or 3 other genres, not sure where that leaves me

Just mix a like 2 or 3 of generes and make that a gener.

If u cant decide which genre to choose among 2 or 3 .try to learn which one you can learn faster .I like both edm and orchestral. First edm as its easy than orchestral music.

@@perfectpitch2506 I've been into metal for a while, thought I might try that out, thing is I don't have an amp or one of those stuff to plug in fl studio to use my guitar and my laptop runs on 4gb or RAM loll. I've been making some lo fi beats tho, i can say I enjoy making it as much as I do listening to it lell
