If you understand the engine, it isn't hard. It IS time consuming to get it perfect. Close enough is easy but perfect takes time and alot of test fitting. There's some cool products that let you whip together a "milspec" rated harness. Aka.. just a pretty solid one lol. Done a bunch of old air-cooled porsche builds swapping to efi and standalone. It takes time and you have to know exactly what those wires are for to make it work seamless and properly

Have custom made fabric bags made or buy them bags for your jacks and any tools that will wear into and mar up the floor or walls of your interior. I bought a bag of used UHual blankets and patterned them out and had them sown into bags and covers to prevent scratches and rub marks. Helps with resale value and keeps things fresh.

That back pressure sensor is also a good data point for if you run into the problem of bending valves. When on 2-step, you're basically turning the manifold into a combustion chamber. That's what allows the turbo to spool up and build boost when not moving. And I think what was happening before when you had that problem was the back pressure was causing the valves to hang open a bit too long or it was making enough pressure to straight up open the valves when the cam wasn't even pushing on the valves
