We have a 2014. We added a very similar air intake with an aftermarket exhaust. We also swapped out our hood with one that has a large hood bulge to let in more air for the engine. It is a TOTALLY different Jeep now. My wife and I LOVE driving it now. The sound turns heads.

The intakes work by getting better air flow. The engine bay would need to get hotter for you to lose power, i guess you could compare air intake temps with the stocky if you were really really curious whats going on in there lol

That’s a good point. I should do that. I’m really curious if it did anything. I feel like it did but it could just be me expecting it
