I personally know the guys who initially released the Van Halen soundboards on KZbin, and they were taken from the master cassettes of a collector. The Toronto show also had a recording from the open air mics placed at the soundboard, which I think Zodiac put out as a bonus cdr.

AwesomeSauce! Love me some out of the ordinary releases. Been collecting those Pink Floyd boots since the late 80s. Darkside of the 'Moo' and those lovely triple LP Wall shows. That beer sounds awesome btw! 😅 😎
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
Dark Side of the Moo wow, probably the first boot lp I saw at a record store circa 87. Probably quite the collectible now. Was that Wembley 74, or an earlier Japan show?

Hey Bill great video...I love the Sanctuary deluxe editions of the first 3 Sabbath albums.....as a matter of fact since I have great bootlegs of Montreaux 70 and Brussels 70 as well I took a pass on the Super Deluxe Paranoid....there were no outtakes on it...and inexplicably the idea that the price would come down didn't work on the Super Deluxe Paranoid...I have all of the other Super Deluxe editions....thanks...
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
Hey Larry happy holidays! Oh yeah just the Quad besides the shows on that one, which was also on the Sanctuary version in 5.1 if I recall correctly. You’re right about the pricing, but the Paranoid SDE was prob the last Sab to start at $33. Honestly if it hadn’t started so cheap I wouldn’t have got it right away. These Studio Outtakes are the jam!

@classicrockmetalreview8523 Happy Holidays to you Bill !!....Yes...to me the other deluxe editions offer more....in regards to the Stones the 75 -76 shows and the 81-82 shows have a lot of non- hit deep tracks...although most of the shows on those tours kept the set lists the same with only a few exceptions....
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
@larrynolletti4594 next order I’m going for that Ft Worth. You heard it? A favorite of mine is Out On Bail ‘78 someone burned me years ago. Lotsa Some Girls tracks and an absolute monster rhythm section recording.
@larrynolletti4594Ай бұрын
@classicrockmetalreview8523 hey Bill....actually I just recently scored 2 Stones 78 boots both 2 disc.....An American Affair...which is Nassau.....and 2 disc beauty Complete Lacerated.....phenomenal soundboard from multiple different shows.....what tour is the Fort Worth again ? 72....Exile ?....
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
@larrynolletti4594 yeah Exile, can’t wrong tour, was checking out that Lacerated too. I’ll keep that in mind.

@chrisalo2989 I’m watching the Exhumed marathon episode which I missed. I’m up for that next year. Are tickets hard to get? I signed up to the theater’s mailing list in hopes it gets me in. Was considering a membership if that helps

The best sounding bootleg I ever heard were the Paul McCartney boots from Russias Starmark label.
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
I don’t think I heard of that label, but I’ll keep an eye out. Thanks

What were the dates of some of the gigs, so I can look around for them? Thanks! I've been on a McCartney listening binge lately. Some awesome stuff out there for his 90s gigs.
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
@ScottyKirk1 Discogs lets you search by label, may lead you to them.

I've never been a fan of boots due to the large amount of poor audio quality there are maybe four that are good enough to listen to for my taste, led Zeppelin in Southampton, the live Pink Floyd at Wembley 74, now a official release, Yes at Wembley arena 78 a radio broadcast and the live recording of the Lamb lies down on Broadway also a official release. So my question is there a top 10 pristine audio out there, also I have never heard a decent Emerson Lake And Palmer boot of the 73 74 tour unless you may know otherwise
@classicrockmetalreview8523Ай бұрын
There are plenty of excellent quality titles out there. Floyd has some awesome BBC broadcasts from 70-71 most of which came out on the Early Years. My Zep Seattle 75 is among my favorites in performance and sound. I don’t know much about Yes or ELP boots but you can usually find a forum online with lists of best bootlegs.

@@classicrockmetalreview8523 Zeppelin Seattle (both shows) and Vancouver from 1975 are some of the best sounding.
