I swear Kendrick's evolution has been wild to witness. I wasn't on the K Dot train super early on but like many of us, we started paying attention when GKMC came out. And the songs in GTA V were also unavoidable. Already a year old by then but still. That helped me get really used to his voice and appreciate his songs more. Drake has benefitted more than anyone from major label and DSP algorithms, inflated metrics, and boosted album sales lol. Kendrick didn't even market or announce this album but it sold equivalent of like 230k in a week because he has genuine fans and a huge following. The other side is that Drake should answer for defamatory claims that Kendrick beats his girl and that his son isn't his since he put that in multiple songs. It makes no sense. Drake and his daddy J. Prince stay inventing new ways to take L's for his career.
