This is the first story I've heard you narrate where someone actually doesn't make it. That actually caught me off guard

Ikr I am... Older and that story it reminded me of a movie that came out in the 80's it was called: The Neverending Story And a scene in the movie was just like that except the victim was a horse and it's made up. This is sad cause it's true and a person.

My anxiety was HIGH when describing the guy stuck in the mud. One of my biggest fears. Great narrations!

My sorrow was high, and I felt heartbroken for all of them and horrified for the victim smh GOD bless and keep emergency workers especially when they can't save someone no matter what. Such helplessness would be astronomical for me and only GOD would be able to keep me sane and sober. 😞

Why couldn't they have pulled him out with one of the quads or a helicopter?

😳 That 1st story is one of my worst F'n nightmares since I was a little kid. Horrifying. Absolutely fucking horrifying. ✨ May that poor guy's soul be at peace & prayers for his friends 🙏

I live in Alaska! In a small town on the Kenai Peninsula, called Anchor Point. "The most westernly highway point in the world". Love listening to stories about my state. I have been to that gold place the first story was talking about. My dad told me old timer stories of finding gold just laying on the beach. Portage glacier is close to there and where there is a glacier, there's usually gold. They have a tourist gold panning areas around there too. That mud on Turnagain is no joke! Everybody knows you don't walk there. The tide comes in too quickly and the mud becomes quick sand!

First story I am surprised they didn’t tie the rope to the quad and pull him with the quad ?

How much force would it have taken to get him out though? They could have risked ripping him in half if they moved the quad too fast.

I dont buy the bear story. I normally never make a comment about made up stories, and i know not every story is true... but i hate misinformation. Bears rarely hibernate in groups, you'd have to have cosmic misfortune to fall into a pit full of them. And this part isn't related to the story, but bears don't technically hibernate. They enter a state of torpor.

I was once surveying at a remote village on Kodiak island. My field chief asked me to get some equipment from where we were staying. I could have taken the long way over the road or I could take a strait shot over the rolling tundra. I figured I would take the short cut. The tundra humps where massive. I would climb over one and jump into another. As I made my way I thought to myself how perfect these tundra holes would be for a bear to huddle down in. Literally the next hole I jumped into I felt the ground move and rise up around me. It was a massive Kodiak bear that I had jump almost onto. I remember his huge head turning up at me and it was like time went still. In an instant we both turned separate ways and ran, thank god. Every time I have an option to take a short cut now that memory has me second thinking my choices. It’s no joke, this state will kill you if your not careful.
