That's the thing though - stories like this often don't have an explanation because the people actually got out in time to survive. I'm not saying every story on here is true, but the statistics for people going missing while hiking and camping are factual. The "resolution" in those cases is they died or are never found again. I much prefer survivor stories.

That couple camping and several others, I know that deafening silence and I know that terrifying feeling of impending doom, sometimes without actually seeing something or understanding why but there is always a reason. Though, I've heard some terrifying things that left me utterly traumatized, even to this day thinking about it. If you are ever out in the forest or anywhere and everything goes suddenly silent and or you feel a sudden terrifying feeling that you are in severe danger. Or that you're being watched, or hearing footsteps following you, do NOT right it off!!! Do NOT leave the trail no matter what you see or hear. Turn around and leave exactly the way you came....quickly. If you have reception, call someone, let them know where you are and that you feel you are in trouble. You have instincts for a reason. Just because you don't see anything, doesn't mean you're not in danger, trust me. I've have terrifying 'things' that were stalking me, literally brush past me and I couldn't see them! My camera caught some very scary images that I didn't see at the time and picked up audio I didn't hear. And never, under any circumstances, separate for any reason, even for a moment. Sounds crazy but there are so many stories of people stepping off trail to relieve themselves....never to be seen again!! That would suck! The forest is not as safe as most people who are blissfully ignorant, think. Speaking of floating orbs or any odd lights, avoid them like the plague! Don't follow them, don't interact with them in any way. They are not your friend, get as far away as possible. Also, if you hear a voice calling your name in the forest, even if they may sound like someone you know....ignore it and keep moving. Or if its trying to lure you off trail claiming it needs help, it most likely is not a person! That sounds messed up, I know, but this actually happens and it's not good, ignore it and get the hell out of dodge. I've had some crazy experiences, some that were very serious and were life threatening where I lost hours of time and many other things most people wouldn't believe!. David Paulides is amazing!! People need to watch his 3 film s''Missing 411 series and his weekly videos on missing people and read his many books. His research is astonishing!! You'll view the forest very differently and not just National parks but they certainly have crazy things going on!! It's terrifying to hear the stories of countless people just vanishing into thin air or are found mysteriously dead, often long after search parties combed the exact area many times countless times. And cause of death never makes sense!! And strange disappearances have been going on for a very long time all over the world and we are no closer to understanding this terrifying phenomenon. If you haven't studied Dave's work, you can't assume you know anything so don't even try, there are no simple explanations, he has rules out all know possibilities. I could go on all day on this topic. I discovered his work after my terrifying experiences in 2015 which had many similarities. FYI, it is also very bad luck to wear bright colours in the FAE and Little People legends too from Ireland, England and Scotland. They take the FAE very seriously over there!! But there are FAE and 'Little People' stories in North America too, I'm from Canada and there are many legends even going back to when the first settlers arrived, the Vikings until today....not to mention Sasquatch/Sabe. There are some terrifying stories in Native American folklore that they used to steal women and children from their towns, never to be seen again. And I've even heard the same terrifying stories from locals in Afghanistan, women and children do not go out after dark for that reason, they get stolen there too, even now. So, clearly, these phenomenons are worldwide with folklore and strange stories passed down in families in every corner of the world. Not all folklore are mere stories, they are always somehow based in truth. Sorry for the ramble but these topics I know a bit about and hope I can make a few people take precautions and hopefully stay safe out in the forest. The more you know, the safer you are. And if you're a skeptic, don't waste your time, I couldn't give a fk what anyone thinks. Take care everyone and stay safe out there! LC

On April 1, 2024, I went on a hiking trip for Easter Break to Stone Creek Trail UK, alongside my two friends, Erik and Henry. I never thought I'd have to say this, but due to a series of unfortunate events, Erik has gone missing. Henry and I are in a state of shock and confused at this sudden tragedy. Erik was slowing down, but we didn’t think anything of it. A few minutes later, we noticed and all we found was his camera after we went back. We did not hear anyone or anything that could have possibly harmed him. So his vanishment and the footage is perplexing in the least. I uploaded the footage for awareness on his behalf. Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.

In the first story, kids seem to have such a strong sixth sense. The dad was probably trying to get the job done and ignored the signs until he noticed it too. Sometimes us adults can get caught up in responsibilities and miss the subtle stuff. Always listen to you kids and what they are saying. Kids are pure with no preconceived notions to contend with like we programmed adults have. They are more open to these extra sensory info that we adults often don’t notice because we’re so caught up in life and responsibility.

I just learned recently that large predators like large cats, crocodiles, even elephants can do it, it’s a very low frequency. We can’t hear it with our ears but it causes a freeze fear response in prey. They believe this is what people might be experiencing. Also could be what causes the phenomena called Sylvan dread.

He's a really good narrator, I also listen to darkness and swamp dweller.

@@joeyboewn7051 yeah they're all pretty good. If you're into creepy pastas "Dark sonium" is good too. I think that's how it's spelt. But dogman encounters is another good one. Supposed interviews with witnesses of seeing them.

I love the narration! Though I hate these common descriptions amongst writers: “Something feels off” “…what felt like hours”

Regarding the disappearance of Steven, it seems strange that if he was traveling all over the US for 15 months there would be people that remembered him. I wonder if he had any money or ID in his belongings. I wonder if besides the shirt from the marathon if the authorities were able to trace where any of his other belongings came from. I mean what if say his backpack was a brand tha was only sold in a certain area and maybe there weren't many places in that area that sold them. If so, maybe whoever sold it to him would remember him. Stuff like that. Not to mention that marathon seems like it could be a good source of information. If it wasn't a large marathon you'd think other runners would've seen him. Maybe the runners had to register and maybe they kept track of where every runner placed. Okay, I didn't plan on going on so long. I'll stop. 😂 That story is just very intriguing. Haveva great day/night everybody!😊🌸
