If you listen closely what Dre is teaching is HOW TO SELL YOUR ROUND, implementing what he is talking about here is an easy way to steal the show. Master of set up and execution. Any animation dancer could get better at this, thanks for all the knowledge dropped here!!!

Recently, after binging robot/animation/bopping content, I began wondering if some of these dancers have studied things like stop-motion characters and actual robots; robot arms for example, and other machines with moving parts. Andre's explanation here just confirms it for me. It just didn't occur to me that they are actually imitating the kinds of moves made by functioning robots and programmed machines. His breakdown of what how machines generally operate and how that is the foundation for the dance is fascinating. Wish I could have had access to info like this 40 years ago though; I was doing it so wrong back then. No wonder I couldn't get it right... 🤦♂
