P.S. : I'm from the Philippines myself and I LOVE Boracay - this was just a 'fail' moment because there was an unexpected storm (no, it wasn’t the rainy season - that’s just how it is in a tropical country; a.k.a. shitty weather can just suddenly happen) 🤣 Still, we had an amazing time on the island which is beautiful! No.. the beach has green algae or “lumot” everywhere. Best times are ber months. Not so hot, and not so rainy

Went to Boracay last year. We heard it was heavy raining before we got there but when we arrived and the 4 days we were there - it was so beautiful and sunny. However, as soon as we were on the shuttle out it started heavy raining.😂 Just got to be lucky 🍀 😊

I grew up in Boracay. Came back after 5 years and was heartbroken by the state of it. Resorts, malls and construction everywhere. Tourists who don’t respect nature. I left with a sense of grief, as if I was losing someone I love who can’t be saved. The new rules have helped, but it’s not enough. They continue to build, and people need jobs, of course. It’s a losing game in the end.

Best time to come to the Philippines is Nov-Mar or even as early as Sep. June-Aug is not advisable, since it is our rainy season. I hope you still enjoyed it.

The start of stormy season is 2nd to 3rd week of July so if you want to enjoy your vacation please go there earlier.. anyways, boracay still has back beach so you can go early morning to 2pm to enjoy swimming.. the water is much calmer there on the rainy season..

Thats an alternative option for tourists but theres alot of rocks in the water, aswell as coral bits and sea urchin, but afterall its a great place to relax but for the beach floor during high tide is steep, but during low tide the beach floor may be gentler but the people mostly swimming there are locals. Theres also some shallow and deep spots in the beach but the beach floor is mostly steep because the beach floor may be uneven.

At that time there was a typhoon, its either mawar or paeng. Both the typhoons are not in habagat season but it effected the island, aswell as the waves and the weather. These two typhoons strengthened southwest monsoon, thats why even after the typhoon it may still be wavy for a few weeks or months.

I go to boracay every year yes you get rain you get sun.overall even when rains its a beautiful place to go.only mindless lazy people who leave rubbish scattered and not put in bins provided.arrogant tourists who are rude towards locals.the locals try very hard to keep clean and welcoming for us to visit.its up to you show respect to the culture the area and respect the beautiful beaches.also take your rubbish home with you.
