DDA exists even when playing with a friend on the same computer. But if you are a good player you still have control over it. I think when playing online it goes uncontrollable and it becomes very obvious becuase of how the network and ping is different for different people. You can only helplessly concede goals

I've experienced this to a small degree every now and then but the other day I had a game where it genuinely felt like all my players' sliders were turned down to 0. They missed every shot, misplaced every pass, no pace at all (TOTT Hernandez was getting outpaced by base CR7) and my keeper wasn't moving for any of the opponent's shots. I'd never seen anything like it before in 15 years of FIFA.

thats how it was for me recently in champs. 1 game al owaiaran felt like he had 70 pace, next he had the normal 99, next he had like 110, next he had 80. the game is so inconsistent

Once had a game in div rivals xg 7 to me 0.5 to my oppo 1-1 draw some of the stuff I seen his keeper save was unbelievable and he had 1 shot and scored a weak deflected goal that trickled in. Dda is 100% a thing its in squad battles and when u play that u can recognise it easier

Same thing happened to me I had to play til extra time cuz I could not score sweats headers I tried everything . My opponent had 3 shots 3 goals the entire match he was trash too , I had 15 only 3 goals but I won 5-3 in ET . This was for champs

Yeah i do squad battles (legend/ultimate), and sometimes they just turn it on with bronze players and dribble past everyone and your players cant tackle, its over when they get into that zone.

Why ? - Less players, less total income. They have found a way how to manipulate with it through so many years. After they have changed engine from Ignite to Frostbite, this became like standard thing. I would love to see source code of this game, but that ain't gonna to happen.

Every game I play now recently I seem to create 10 clear chances I would expect to score previously, now maybe one or two go in, while the guy I play has 4 bounces in one possession to end up getting a goal that goes in off my defender or something. The fact anyone plays this professionally baffles me

I have played FIFA since FIFA 06... Scripting or DDA whatever you want to call the process is 100% real. Especially in online play primarily FIFA ULTIMATE TEAM. I have played thousands of games and I have seen gold rare teams dominate icon teams with the "luck". Own goals, rebound goals, poor touches you name it.... anyone who disagrees hasnt played this game that much yet. Hopefully the new one after the split is better but IDK.

Even Online Seasons has DDA. I played for a thousand games of Fifa 23 Online at least. It gets so obvious sometimes. Players got stoned, poor touches, delibately pass the ball to opponent, etc. If it decides you can't win, you probably won't be able to win. When it decides you can score, no matter how stupid your motions, you score that goal. VERY obvious.

I was once 5-0 up in the 70th minute and the DDA kicked in so bad I ended up losing 6-5. every goal was a lucky bounce or just went straight through my keeper

yep. DDA is really annoying even when playing career mode. The game will really f* you up if you keep possession over the "allowed" time. Players become clunky and start slipping all over the place. Teammate AI becomes worse. Heavy touches after a simple ground pass. Passes are made incorrectly even if it's just 5-10 yards.

​@@MarcoDKim Honestly that's probably not DDA in my opinion, Seasons has always been the multiplayer choice of players around the world who can't afford FUT or don't want to play it at all, but want multiplayer FIFA - and many of them have poor connections as well and struggle to climb the divisions consistently. I've done both FUT and Seasons MP for years now simultaneously and a LOT of people just can't play this game without a full team of chem (and promo card) boosted FUT card players. Many don't even adjust lineups or tactics until the higher divisions too. There's also no rewards to sweat for really, so many of the opponents you're playing are doing so pretty casually until you get up half the divisions.

@@BuBornham naa bro i was in top 100 in fifa 22 seasons mainly using man united 😂 i know the game very well and there is DDA + lower division advantage in seasons. Mainly comes from random corner kick goals from lower division players and goalkeepers saving every green timed shots. I’m in elite division in FUT and I can confidently say that there is DDA in seasons. But to your point, there are cases in seasons when connection sucks cuz you’re randomly connected to anyone without seeing the ping

@@MarcoDKim but you play players around your own seasons tier in Seasons, so I'm not sure how you could have an advantage in the lower divisions. You're playing lower division players when you're in the lower divisions - this is evident from queue times as you ascend the divisions, they get longer. Regardless, if that were true then you'd both have an advantage against each other which is a fallacy. I'm in Elite as well, but I can't claim top 100. That's a pretty bold claim without anything to back it up to be honest. lmao I can claim to have industry knowledge though, as I worked for Activision and have several former coworkers who have worked at EA Vancouver, and nobody I know has any knowledge of DDA that they were willing to share with me - however my statements about the player demographics in the game modes have been verified. DDA exists across the board, but it's an in-match feature and clearly tied more to your recent Elo rating than your base Elo rating and the quality of the teams in the match comparative to each other IMO. Most systems like this incorporate your two Elo ratings in some way, it's the most common way to assess player skills for any feature. I don't think it has anything to do with what division you're at - it exists in Squad Battles and elsewhere too so that doesn't really make sense when they're considered. EA isn't tailoring DDA to that degree of depth.

DDA obviously exists in a way, but it's probably "fair" in total, this very game is evidence of that. Reminds me of the card(?) games where people complained that it was rigged when it was completely random, so the game had to actually get rigged so people would "feel" it wasn't. The human mind is awful at classifying probabilities and dealing with failure.

It stands for 'dynamic difficulty adjustment' and it's a mechanic in the game that EA have a patent for that can adjust certain gameplay aspects to make it more difficult/easier for players to carry out certain actions. So for example, a player dominating a game of FIFA could see DDA make their gameplay less fluid and more prone to error to balance the match. And a player that is struggling will find their gameplay more fluid and responsive.
