Belt bootend should be 1 pillar inbye, CM should be a wide head and when the CM is on or the top side of the belt the side loading SCs should be both on the same side

Moving the bootend 1 pillar inbye would assume a belt move had just been completed and you're in sequence 1, so your suggestion would suit that in the stage of sequencing, but this could be well into the sequence plan that could allow up to around 22 plunges before the next belt move was required. First of all, which direction is your intake air coming from? You would most likely run 1 shuttle car to start this plunge so as to run a brattice to get air to the face (a 2nd shuttle car would not allow you to get enough air over the miner).. If you could run a short brattice then maybe you could introduce a 2nd car but it's cable would pull it down and you would lose air (which some deputies do illegally to get better metres). A 3rd car is out of the question, would slow everything down and car 3 would be entering the plunge from the return side (illegal). Being this close to the face, 1 car could unload and be back while the CM continues to fill the pan with minimal downtime. Running both SC's on the same side would risk running over the cable unless you set the anchor 1 pillar back and backspooled one car back to the feeder while the other was loading. In this video, at this stage of the sequence, SC1 & SC2 are following the correct path (again to allow a brattice wing to be put up across the last cut through on that plunge to get enough air over the CM. 🙏🏻

@@positivethoughtlibrary If the B/end is one pillar outbye of the face C/Through it is less wheeling distance and less travelling time for the S/Cs. We did this in a 9 heading development panels. The bottom and the top 2 headings were the returns using 18m3 Aux/fans, the other 5 Hdgs on intake, the middle Hdg was the Belt Rd. the equipment used were a JOY 12CM w/t a scrubber, 3S/Cs, Fletcher Roof Bolter (twin boom) and a Breaker Feeder. The C/M cut out 14ms and flitted to next sequence, when the C/M was in the bottom 3 Hdcs the S/cs would be set up as 1 end loading and 2 (L/H and R/H S/Cs) side loading, the next 3 Hdgs 1 end loading and 1 each side loading either side, then on the top side 1 end loading and 2 side loading. The side loading S/Cs would be re-anchored when required during C/M flitting to another sequence.

Thanks Peter. Sounds very interesting using the auxiliary fan/s, which in my experience we only use for gate road development, not Bord and pillar. I'd love to see that in action. Thanks for your feedback mate, much respect 🙏🏻

@@positivethoughtlibrary The pillar size was 40x30m. If you want post your email and I will send you a plan of it and the sequence on how we did pillar extraction.
