Look to be a nice kit, I'll add that to the shopping list. The box on the rear fender is the air cleaner. The five round things are sand separators. The Crusader exhausts through the rear grill.

Hi Nigel. I have to agree with you about Mig Ammo colours. They can be a bit dodgy, so a little research should always be done to confirm what is actually correct.

That kit looks good! German figures, it looks great. I have Luchs by Border models, and its a sad kit. Four injector pin marks on the out side of the turret rear wall, its small part with little gribbles right were they are. The rear deck is a pain to clean up, but not impossible. The track link and length, it looks very poor. I think I may use Model Kasten. The suspension is pretty sad.

Tanks for that 😅 Looks a great kit. Pity the box top shows a Kraut tank with crosses. Tanks that were captured by the Axis did actually get classified into the German system if there were than just a few and prior to Alamein the Axis more than a few Desert Army tanks.

Interesting illustration as the Balkankreuz markings according to photographs of the time, would have been much more prominent for obvious reasons.

I've purchased this kit. Basically because I was well impressed with the Border models 1/35 Stuka. (Almost done) I saw a video on building the tracks, but are there any plans to complete the build on this model? Imo, reviews are a useless waste of time.

@@NigelsModellingBench doubt which mate? That you'll complete the kit, or my opinions? Please don't misunderstand. I thoroughly enjoy your in depth build videos. I want (emphasis) to see how well, or how poorly things go together. Hence my opinion on reviews. It's just all the parts on the sprue, how well (or poorly) they're molded is irrelevant to one like me that hasn't reached the skill level of someone like Plasmo. I'll add this so you, and others might have a glimmer of where I'm coming from. My first model kit was the original AMT Enterprise bridge. I was 11 yrs old then. I'm just getting back (just... 4 AFVs and 2 aircraft) into my first hobby after being thoroughly impressed by how far the industry has come in the last 40 years. I only get to invest my time into this on weekends, so knowing ahead of time what to watch for, what to avoid and what's worth spending my hard earned income on is a central consideration on what will occupy my workspace next. I understand the concept of building what interests you takes priority, but maybe this will give you reason to take a second thought.

@@NigelsModellingBench Oh, and about the individual links. Yes, assembling them is somewhat tedious, but knowing that they are functional even while sitting motionless on a shelf is still immensely satisfying in the end.

The (e) was for English. The Germans used this for all captured weapons. A for America, P for Polish, F for French, etc

that colour call out is a bit off by late 1941 to 1943 the most common 2 tone in the desert was portland stone with scc14 blue black or light stone and scc2 or 3

Sorry Nigel. But its a NO from me. It looks like a Takom or Meng kit. Far too over engineered and complicated for my liking.
