One of the best diamond-like pianists of our time.
😂A concert like the present one needs more than what can be said in a short commentary to which we have become so much addicted to: that we often miss the essential part and therefore cannot relate to the work in question as a whole. It is, in fact, much, much more a complicated thing than "just an event" that, in our experience, would just pass by and be soon forgotten, but here we have to do with a musical performance that is positioned at a very higher general level ("Weltspitze", in German) than we may be used to but which is also intended to set standards for a new generation of pianists. On this level this performance of Works by Chopin and Rachmaninoff, from its outset, its primary idea, and the execution and the management that bring together candidates and teachers together, has proven to be a Pioneer Move that may neither be forgotten in Texas nor in the memories of REAL listeners present in the concert hall about six months ago. Needs a far more serious approach to the question of the GENESIS of a higher level of musical interpretation than I can even roughly try to give on a few lines. Moreover the impact of the interpreters mindset, the abstract World of the Music, the "GRAMMAR" inherent in Chopin's way of composing, and many other items should be studied (notably by people who have learned the bulk of Chopin's Works).

ok ... why such a big text to finally conclude that you don't agree to the fact that this pianist shouldnt've been in a opening concert for a competition... i just think you're just a frustrated person in life that doesn't like seeing people achieving their greatness and succeed. lots of text and fabulous words to explain a non-existent argument. it was a great open for a competition.
