So if Krieg wasn't there, Maya got killed, wouldn't end up on Jacks train, get wounded, met claptrap, get through the story, rescued Roland, killed Angel and Jack. So Pandoras destiny was in Kriegs hands. And if Hyperion wouldn't made him into a psycho, he wouldn't do it. So technically Jack sealed his own destiny.

YiaM - ワイアム I'll probably cheap out and just go in the same format as you: I never really thought to myself before, I mean no one ever really does its just something you do without noticing but back before I became this..this "Thing" I was just another vault hunter searching for the next big find and before that I was a sheriff for a town too docile to fight for themselves. For me thinking came after the fact: I would think after shooting the thing chasing me in between the eyes, I'd think after I found the EMPTY booby trapped vault, hell I only thought about the honeymoon after finding out how ugly and how drunk I was that night....The only time I ever thought things through was when I was with her. She was no more than ten I saw her getting chased by some psychos hoping to get a new "meat coat". I couldn't watch..neither could I leave so instead I decided to fight. Even though I spent half my money from being sheriff on this vault dweller bullshit I had to at least try to help her. So i went in guns a blazing...with no bullets. Fortunately they started laughing hysterically while the girl escaped, unfortunately that left me surrounded. Didn't take long for them to stop laughing when some guy with some kind of chain saw bat came through ready to swing. I knew this was the end, but I also knew I wasn't going down like a pussy so I charged at him with all my weight ready to bring him down a notch, but one of the psychos threw krag shit, or maybe his own I rally couldn't tell, right in front of my feet and I slipped and knocked myself out on a rock....When I came two I was expecting to find at least half of my limbs missing but then weren't instead I was in this cage hanging above a pit and I realized how much worse the situation got for me.....[End?] Sorry I kinda lost my writing flow near the end because I wanted to look up some Borderlands stuff to make sure I can keep things relevant and not stray too far from the source material but I think I can come up with how he became insane with the next go around....unless this sparked your creative mind to join in?

Krieg is so fun to play it's ridiculous. After finishing my Assasin playthrough 3 times it started to become boring. Then, I bought Krieg, at first I thought it wasn't really that great, then I beat the first playthrough and unlocked "Release the Beast", now, this is the most fun I've had in forever.

I really wish gearbox threw more of a plot in for these characters. They are surprisingly very interesting. I wish they were shown in more cutscenes, and emphasized more within the story. I felt even Krieg would have been an interesting character to be in the story.

Well, seeing as how Gearbox really improved their storytelling from the first to the second Borderlands, I wouldn't be surprised if they were able to improve how the player characters act in according to the story. After playing through the Headhunter DLCs, they are experimenting with giving the characters an active role within the quests; being able to talk and respond to people, so maybe in the Pre-sequel, or in the third incarnation of Borderlands, we might see more dialogue from player characters.

Gearbox cares more about shoving side characters down our throat (in which no developtment even occurs) then adding to existing characters. The whole thing makes the vault hunters (that you play as) feel as if they aren't even a part of the story when they do everything.

I find it crazy that on my first playthough of bl2 I fell in love with maya, then, out of the two DLC characters, I enjoyed krieg the most and I almost like him more gameplay wise than maya. He is just built to tear babies to shreds and i love it. His love of fire and his ability to heal back overkill damage even inspired a few of the abilities of my original character. Oh i'm rambling and getting a little sentimental. what i ment to say was "I HAVE ARRIVED ON A TIDE OF BLOOD AND GORE! FROM HELL'S HEART, I SLASH AT THEE WITH A DYNAMITE AXE MADE OF MEAT!!! Also if you only play Single player games, then why are you paying for the online service in the first place. You could easily avoid the costs by using Netlix and those other online services that consoles have by simply using your P.C.
