Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos, I'm 62 and I've only been playing VR for about 8 years, but I've been a gamer since pinball machines. I can't believe I'm going to try to give you any advice on a game, but here it goes. There is an aim accuracy percentage to each weapon, that's why the aim is really off on some of the weapons. Use your scopes when your weapon has them, it makes your shots more powerful, works better at a distance too. Try to pick up more powerful, faster rebuilding Shields. If you're losing run away from the fight to rebuild your Shields and pick up more ammo , don't run too far away all the enemies will respond. I don't want to make this too long, I hope I helped, and I hope you have a great day. Keep up the great work, I'll be looking forward to your next video.

The biggest issue with the bullet scatter isn't a fair game scatter: I genuinely think the aim angle is wrong on the Quest through virtual Desktop. there was a consistent 1-to-5 degree offset to the right and it took a while to adapt. The scatter makes it hard to gauge but by a point in the video I finally could confirm it favors the right. I'll figure that one out; might need to run through Oculus/SteamVR to check. On the shields, and the guns... I'm caught in limbo where everything in my inventory is either garbage level or too high level, so the thing I have to do to get out of this situation is go do sidequests and get a better arsenal, shield and grenades included. Took me a while to realize but hey, it's been three years! (Also being level 15 in a level 18-20 area is pain... I'll get that taken care of with the sidequests too) Thanks for the advice! 8 years of VR is actually a lot, looks like you've been around since the advent of commercial VR... I'm a little late but welcome aboard! I myself started nearly 11 years ago when the Oculus DK1 opened sales to the public.

Oh one more thing: On the enemies respawning... it's even worse when you run for cover into an adjacent area, which unwittingly causes another group of enemies to spawn, but since you're still close enough to the original area, those enemies are still there, and the two groups start converging... tough times LOL

This is fascinating! I was thinking about picking up this game. Loved borderlands 2 and have hundreds of hours in it. Would be could tk see it on a meta quest 2!

It's a clumsy adaptation, but in the end it plays very good and has everything one needs to enjoy it through and through. The movement, in VR, is wildly extreme... it's hard to describe the feeling of progressively getting "used" to jumping 50 feet in the air! An absolute blast! It'll work in the Quest 2, this uses Quest Link over PC so it works on all the Quests.

How on gods earth did you fix the controller input? I can't open the map or upgrade, mission menu with the vive setup

Well I'm not using the cursed VIVE wands for one, that sure helps! I do not remember what ass backwards mapping they did for the wands, but all I know is those controllers were so bad, every single game had the most assinine mapping with them. Have you tried the system button on the left wand? (The one below the trackpad... presume you did ofc) Genuinely despised those wands; they really sabotaged an otheriwse decent kit.

@@Stereo3DPlays It just refuses to use my quest 3 controls, was hoping you found a way to force it to use Quest 3 but keep the great resolution scaling not found when using quest link.

So I'm confused: Are you using a Quest 3 or an HTC VIVE? Are you using Oculus Link/Airlink, Virtual Desktop or SteamVR? If you have the Quest 3 issue over VD, I very much demonstrate how to resolve the binding issue at 2:13 But if that's the case I'm not sure why you brought up the VIVE

Also, Quest Link/Airlink does have resolution scaling. In Quest Link go to Devices, then click on the headset you want to change scaling for, and finally on the right scroll down to Graphics Preferences, where you can set resolution and refresh rate. So technically you can even avoid VD (Although admittedly, VD is a lot more reliable)

@@gomersimpson777ram OH! VD, yes it works well via OpenXR... I just had one real problem where if you're using H264+ it causes a brightness mismatch between the eyes, so one may have to forefit the fancy HDR codecs. Other than that it did work.
