Krieg is the guy with the yellow mask . Krieg is one of my all time favorite video game characters with a really unique storyline. I wasn't expecting him to be in this trailer as he doesnt show up till Borderlands 2 but it was a nice surprise.

He’s for sure the wrong pick for clap trap and I can’t see him being a good character within the storyline of borderlands other than to be a throwaway character. Watching this trailer has saddened me. This trailer alone has done more to taint the borderlands games than all of the new Star Wars trilogy movies did to the Star Wars IP. I hope this movie TANKS in sales. I legit hope this only makes %1 of the cost of production for this movie. Even less if fate could. The product that they have laid out as is, is so very far from the original, I’d argue to just simply put the movie under a new name.

The Psycho is Kreig. He was a DLC character for Borderlands 2 along with Gaige the Mechromancer. He's being played by Florian Munteanu who would have made a good Brick as well. I think they mixed the characters from Borderlands 1 and 2 because they wanted an excuse to get Tiny Tina in there. Apparently she meets Roland (Kevin Hart) in between those games. I'm not loving the cast. Cate Blanchett is awesome but about 30 years too old to play Lilith and sadly looks like it in the trailer. It doesn't look like Kevin Hart can pull off Roland and Ariana Greenblatt definitely isn't a great Tiny Tina. As for Jack Black, why not just get the voice actor from the games?

For a Looter Shooter, it's actually highly entertaining and you can play the whole story solo. It's a lot of silly, dark, mindless fun and well written characters. I can't wait to see Ellie and I saw they gave us a tiny glimpse of Madd Moxxie. Ah, this is just going to be fun.

This trailer really turns me off even considering it considering how much it clearly doesn't get borderlands for a second. Writing this before watching this reaction vid because I'm a huge fan of the franchise and have watched the trailer already. Wanted to give my thoughts without being swayed by the crew... This isn't Borderlands, these are not the characters from Borderlands. It's honestly feels like the actors are wearing costumes and pretending, while putting their own spin on it. The creators, while not necessarily wanting to put out a bad film mind you (the movie doesn't look terrible), have clearly not played the games because honestly there's too much different, too much missing and too little care given to the source material. We've been waiting a long damn time for a movie/series set in the world and I'm kinda annoyed this is what we get. Anyways, lets see what BW think :)

Jamie Lee Curtis played a weird character in _Everything Everywhere All at Once_ - and her character in _A Fish Named Wanda_ is out there, too. This looks very IP-worthy. I've played 1 a lot, 2 a lot, 2.5 ("The Pre-Sequel") a little (stupid first boss fight with electrified floors annoyed me too much), and 3 is for platforms I don't have.

Worst casting ever. Roland is a big and quite serious character and Kevin Hart can only play Kevin Hart and he will portray Roland too goofy. Cate Blanchett is a great actress but shes like 25 years too old for the character of Lillith and to be honest her outfit and make up kinda look like a Mum in a mediocre cosplay. Jamie Lee is so cool but also too old for the character. Why casting Jack Black (and I love Jack Black) if you could easily let the original voice actor voice claptrap!? The soundtrack is way too "Guardians". The whole trailer is way more a Mashup between Guardians and Jumanji. The humor should be way darker. The production seemed to have been a nightmare. 2 different directors changing mid production, a script that the writer doesnt want his name in the credits anymore. Too bad, I love Borderlands, and the movie seems to just have taken names and ideas from it.
