Just wait until you guys get further into the show. It will be WAY more on the wholesome side with sprinkles of the fan service that's probably melting your brains as of this episode. It was like that for all of who started this show: "this show is softcore hentai" or "it's like High School DxD w/o nudity" was a lot of ppl's reactions. The focus shifts way more to the dynamic between Marin/Gojo as the show progresses. There are still a couple of spicy moments though which by now you guys have probably already seen as usually by the time the first few episodes are on YT you guys have finished the show on Patreon. It's good you guys watched this now as season 2 is coming out next year which will be even better than season 1 (I read the manga).

The show fools you into thinking it’s a male fantasy and then all of sudden the rest of the show is actually a female fantasy lol. Makes sense since the creator of this was a woman.

@ well yes it’s absolutely still balanced, but there’s a clear shift from Marin just being herself and Gojo being the one constantly getting flustered around her to Gojo finally relaxing and becoming comfortable around her and Marin freaking out and getting flustered by him. Whatever you think I’m trying to say beyond my exacts words, I’m not. I’m praising this amazing show. Everything is done so tastefully with real purpose and it’s just a really sweet relationship between two great characters.

@@BuddyChy Still not sure how you think it's all Marin getting flustered the last episodes of the show. There were as many if not more moments in the last 3 episodes where Gojo is the more flustered one. "Nape of a woman's neck" ring a bell? I don't doubt you like the show at all. I just think you're interpretation of the dynamic between Gojo & Marin is quite misguided/misinformed.

@ I think you’re taking my words too extremely. Like I said, whatever you think I was trying to say OUTSIDE of my EXACT words, I was not saying. I was talking about the overall vibe of the dynamic shifted. Or at least the perspective we got from Marin flipped after episode 5, and to some was a surprising twist.

if you want a show that's more like Horimiya, may I suggest one of my all time favorites? "Love, Chuunibyou, and other delusions"/"chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai" romance, comedy, a dash of legitimate mental illness.....

I was not expecting such a harsh reaction so far. Once you realize this show was written by a woman, the entire story makes so much more sense and really changes your perspective. At least it did for me. Second half of the season flips the script and the show turns into a wholesome woman’s fantasy with a lot more focus on Marin’s perspective than Gojo’s.

@ it’s more about understanding the perspective of who wrote it than “judging” it. In fact, the reason I mentioned it is because everyone who watches this show immediately assumes it was made by a dude and judges it with that assumption in mind. It then leads to further assumptions. Simply understanding those assumptions are wrong can change your perspective.

It gets way more chill after this episode. I call it the filtering episode, hh. But yean no, fr, this anime made me quit PH solely because of Kitagawa being like "Bro, chill. It's okay. You will be fine even if you feel a "certain" way. You don't have to listen to the voices. Just be present in the moment with me here." May sound stupid, but hey, any shore in a storm.
