They probably don't do the PIP on the hoods anymore, but that was how we got both of our 30 series hoods replaced.

Morning! You could finish out your north shop and turn it into a wash bay to keep the humidity down in the main shop. I know, time and money. We all know that you can do it after seeing you insulate are tin your seed warehouse.

Gmorning Those hoods are such a pain,,, with the cost of new i would definitely find a body shop,,, I'm confident they'd be able to use some fiberglass repair maybe with some mesh on the inside.. The repair the outside and I think it would be fine... Im the same way always wanting to keep the equipment looking good. Good luck

Do you have a water softener in your wash bay? And if the hood is fiberglass a body shop can fix that, if it's plastic take it to a PLASTIC WELDER. Specifically, I've seen Porsche fuel tanks welded, looks just like a good metal weld.

Hey Nathan, just a thought, you might keep an eye out and about if someone could be possibly parting One of those tractors out because it blew a motor and they were NOT able to have the money to fix that tractor, 🚜 Yes I know, it is probably a LONG shot but sometimes you can get a little LUCKY and if it's what you need and not cracked, might SAVE you some money 💲💲💰💰 anyway, just thought I would throw it out there, Yes I know it's a newer one but it happens,, CYA SOON NEXT TIME BE SAFE BUDDY ✌️👍🚜🌞😎🏈

There are some videos out there on fixing cracks like that, I think Tractor Time with Tim has one.

Ever pulled the boot off the steering rod ball socket on those tractors to grease behind a snap ring? Have to install a zerk
@BorderViewFarms2 сағат бұрын
Yes, but that's a 1,500 hour zerk.

Why not take it to an auto body shop get an estimate have them reinforce it buy John Deere paint stickers that might be an option

I wouldn’t replace the hood. If it were the 8RX, that would be different. On this tractor, reinforce it to stop further. Someone recommended a body shop, that’s a good idea. Get an estimate.

Before i spent 8 grand i would drill the ends of the cracks gouge the cracks with s dremel tool and try some fiberglass filler if it doesnt work your no worse off than before you started.
