The Boreas Campers EOS-12 is filling a gap in the market for an offroad, off grid capable camper trailer that is large enough to have a wet bath and stand inside, but small enough to truly access the backcountry.
All components of the EOS-12 are top quality, American-made whenever available, and over-built to match the overall build ethos of Boreas Campers.
The EOS-12 starts with a heavy duty chassis that utilizes a fully welded, powdercoated, tube steel frame ready to take on any offroad challenge. Having a rock solid foundation is critical for all other components of the build.
The BFG KO2 tires and Method wheels connect the frame to the ground via Cruisemaster XT air suspension. The XT independent trailing arm suspension utilizes airbags and shocks for an exceptionally smooth towing experience and provides 20" of ground clearance. The setup includes electric drum brakes, parking brake and has a GVWR of 5200 lbs.
The airbags are connected via Bluetooth to the Garmin O.N.E. system that comes standard with the EOS-12 and allows one to auto-level, raise and lower the suspension at the touch of a button. The onboard Viair 485C air compressor is mounted to the underside of the frame and protected with a skid plate and keeps the 5-gallon air tank filled up.
Travelling off the grid means relying on your own power sources, and high quality components of your power system are less likely to fail when you need them most.
300 watts of Zamp solar panels come standard with the option for up to 500 watts. The Victron solar charge controller sends the power to the Battleborn Gamechanger 3 batteries, where 540 ah comes standard with the option for up to 1080ah. A Zamp outlet is installed for portable panels that can augment the power flowing from the rooftop panels.
One 20lb propane tank comes standard, with the option to add another 20lb tank. This fuels the cook stove and can be used for the Truma Combi. Having propane is essential if you are boondocking for more than a few days as certain systems (Combi, Truma Aventa A/C) can drain the batteries and depending on how much sunlight is available, can take some time to recharge.
Stay in control of all the EOS-12 has to offer from one convenient portable tablet. The Garmin O.N.E. tablet connects and controls everything including the solar panel output, battery charge levels, furnace & hot water heater, water pump, air suspension settings, lights, speakers, and A/C.
Don’t be limited to the busy summer camping season. With heated tanks and protected lines the camper is ready for adventures any time of the year.
Drop the roof at night for a fully insulated cabin and to meet the ‘hard-sided campers only’ requirements of Yellowstone and other attractions in bear country.
The 96-liter Truma Cooler anchors the kitchen which also includes a stainless steel sink connected to the 50-gallon fresh water tank, 3-burner Furion stove, drop down table, pass through pantry, speakers and porch lights.

Wow, I love this thing...absolutely one of the best offroad campers out there - awesome layout plus its lightweight and a manageable size while still including important features like an inside bathroom/shower. I wouldn't call the price "cheap", but when you consider what you're getting, its honestly a bargain. Of course you can get something cheaper if all you want to do is visit a campground twice a year - but thats comparing apples and hamburgers 😂

All true but this is clearly intended to go off road too so if you buy one, you can hang onto it for a long time. I've heard from RV salespeople that some camper trailers are so awful in quality that they have structure issues after only two years. And one told me flat out: buy it outright. Do not get into a payment plan or lease. Well, that's something I never heard from an RV dealer before, the brutal truth about owning one.

PS: I THINK the salesperson was subtly dropping a hint that the interest rates will hurt badly if you get into a long term lease or a payment plan. Maybe the loan dudes were within earshot and he didn't want them to catch him saying "don't get a loan, it's not worth it!" His most shocking thing: on class As, get the cheapest one. Period. That class of RV is horribly unreliable and always causes his mechanics the most headaches. Having seen a looooot of owner videos of this class, I believe him now.

Man what a trailer!! Very impressive. Couple of questions. 1. What is the tounge weight if loaded to max capacity? 2. Is that queen bed 80" east west? 3. Is the exterior sink plumed to the fresh water tank?

1. The highest we've seen the tongue weight was 685 lbs, fully loaded. Even though the water tank is 50 gallons, it sits on the axle line so it doesn't affect the tongue weight regardless of if it's empty or full. 2. The queen bed is 80" east/west and 57" wide. 3.The exterior sink is plumbed to the fresh tank, has both hot and cold water, and runs through a two-stage advanced filter that treats up to 1,600 gallons.

No stabilizers. Does this shake when people inside move like my camper does?

The first couple versions of the EOS-12 camper had stabilizers, but upon testing and owner feedback we concluded there was little to no difference when the stabilizers were in use so they've been omitted from the current design. It's a very stable camper as it sits and you won't feel excessive shakes or sways when people are moving about the cabin. Even high wind conditions are barely noticeable.

I really like this camper... but damn, the price is outrageous. Sometimes I wish manufacturers would just give us the option of buying the box (bed platform, finished bathroom and plumbing) without all the other stuff. No Garmin system, no 12v fridge, no stove. Just a bare bones place to shelter in bad weather and sleep. I can't be the only one thinking this? 80 to 90k for a less than 90 sqft of space is just too much.

Hey @nabob14! We totally get it. While a bare bones version of this might be a possibility in the future, we wanted to pack as many features as we possibly could into the initial launch of the EOS-12. At the end of the day, with all of the specs and features, the cost is justified and we outperform and outspec a lot of our competitors with campers in the $110k-$135k range. We do have a bare bones version of our teardrop model called the AT which is designed to be budget friendly and user-customizable, yet just as off-road capable as the fully loaded. Don't put firewood in your camper! NEVER take firewood with you when you go camping. Firewood always has insects and fungi in it waiting to escape into the woods you are camping in. We have lost many of our timber species because people brought insects and disease with them into the woods. LEAVE YOUR FIREWOOD AT HOME!!!!

TURN OFF YOUR SPEAKERS before watching!!!!! Immediately skip to :30 to avoid the useless noise. You guys fell for the stupid loud music intro (apparently on EVERY video?. Major turnoff. That certainly won't help your views. It's nice trailer but unaffordable (because it's overbuilt) for many, same problem Black Series is experiencing, no buyers. Maybe consider designing and building something else? 20 ft long, but only 12.5' box - 3750 lbs (dry). Oops. Generator included? Electric jack? For $80k I'd expect a chef to be included and someone to polish my hiking boots. Seriously, this thing costs as much as a truck. Speakers are totally unnecessary, anyone can pack preferred electronics along if they need noise in the wild (stay home). Get rid of the forward box and extend the living space.
