For me outposts are a reliable way to make credits so you don’t have to grind for loot to sell. My two ways are weapon modding (greatly increasing their value) and making alien liquor. Unlike manufacturing goods alien liquor is light weight and sells well too, plus it is good for leveling up as well.

This is a great video! My advice is to pace yourself, take some down time in between missions to do surveying, outposting, ship building. Chances are, you'll run into another quest while you're at it. Speed running all the faction quests kind of leaves you feeling like you got through it all too fast. Some of the most interesting side quests? Hit up Charybdis system, the Altair system and the Ixyll system. Speak to the doctor in New Homestead, and meet the Strikers in Neon. Talk to Keoni or Davis Wilson in Akila City for one of my favourite quest rewards. And if you haven't already, be on the look out for a slate dropped by spacers talking about a secret outpost. Also, that fan radio is amazing, can't believe I never came across this before!

Love that you included the books. Have done the NG+ thing a few times and every time I have tried to make one different goal outside of the normal story. Collect every coffee cup with writing on it ( don't miss the NASA one buried in a rock on Vectera), collect and read every book the next go around ( unlocks their own little collection quests). Fully explore every relationship storyline( including breaking up). There is a lot more going on in this game that most players have not even touched

Guy, you forgot about another type of players - those who play on maximum difficulty. In this case everything changes. You will not kill Ashta quickly - she will kill you with one spit. You won't be able to explore the planet during the day - you'll burn from radiation. You won't be able to defeat everyone - you'll have to think how to do it. Casuality gives a false sense of victory and permissiveness, but takes away the desire to study the enemy, planets and animals, deprives a person of thoughts about tactics and strategy (Google translation)

I'm about to jump into NG+9! I got all achievements by NG+6 so with mods that make me feel like a true Starborn it's fantastic fun. I think a lot of players who play this game on console might never have played with mods ( i have in skyrim and fallout4) and dont know the basics of load order, confliction and basic research into modding in general. So if you haven't done a video guide on that, i'd recommend it! (It looks like there is a new system Bethesda have put in place which seems to auto sort mods now..but i've still had a couple conflict and luckily i've known what to do, but for new comers they could easily wonder what's gone wrong.)

As for the radio. I believe Bethesda missed a huge opportunity not adding music to this game. It would’ve been lore friendly to add any and all music to ever be released to the game since it’s the future. They had the opportunity to bring anything and everything but they brought nothing instead

I went NG+ 2-3 times. My first playthrough I hit level 60 and had maxed a lot of weapon skills out. After hitting level 100 I felt like I broke the game. I started a new game now and skipped all of the weapon skill trees. It leaves a little challenge, but with all of the other skills it changed the way that I played. I can build some wild outposts and ships now (probably spending WAY too much time on those now lol).

This is great thanks. Earned a follow from me. I NG+ a while ago and tbh only once and I was so freaked out at losing everything I went back to my save pre that moment and carried on. I don’t know the benefit but I know I hadn’t done everything I wanted to. Recently returned with the updates and imminent DLC release and the changes just make this game so much better 60fps is soo good. This’ll help me relearn everything thanks… currently on crimson fleet quest line 👌🏼

Creating a themed character. Like you can do all faction quests on one character but it can keep things interesting to have a character that is a freestar ranger character, a UC captain, a Starborn that hunts other starborn like a scifi Highlander etc.

Because I only did UC related missions in one play through and FreeStar related missions with another play through I am on my third play through (after getting to NG+5) and am going the main mission line, factions, and a few side missions for the second time.

I recently came back to the game after a year and started a new game with all the difficulty settings maxed out (+75% XP) and I challenged myself to never lower them. I’m also pacing myself by mixing in randomly generated content and space battles (I love boarding ships, eliminating the crew and stealing their valuable contraband) with all the standard content. I’m also sticking with the frontier and upgrading it as I go rather than buying a new ship like I did before. All in all, I’m having fun.

Great Ideas! Here are a few others: Collect all snow globes and put them in your perfect outpost. Collect all the skill magazines. Collect all the quest reward space suits ( Mantis, UC, Constellation, etc.) and display them on mannequins; spread them out over all the purchasable properties around the occupied systems. Finally, consider using the "No Angry Companions" mod and have a committed relationship with all four characters at once. ... I think I've been playing this game too much🤔

One option I think would have been helpful for players to consider; Make a dedicated character for NG+. There's no need to do all the faction quests if you don't want to, you can just buzz through the main quest. Doing this means you're not giving up all the hard won booty you've collected. It's a win win regardless, you can continue on either way.

In this run, I am a Crimson Fleet Pirate. I attack the UC in space, the UC Marines on the ground, Colonists at Traits, and the annoying, stalking space NPCs. I have max Deception but Piracy is pointless outside of training Persuasion. Blow them up and then loot. I have close to 200 Murders. I have cleared Akila's orbit of ships. I have half a Million lifetime bounty with 245K owing. I have a GalBank StormRider from battle. I have been using a UC SysDef Phalanx to do this. I still haven't started The Old Neighborhood. I have 0 companions or crew. Her basic backstory: Used Ryujin to plant information to attract the attention of Delgado and Commander Ikende (the UC Vigilance guy) and get him interested in the Fleet's comings and goings. Pay my guard friend to get me onto the Vigilance and into the Fleet. Assist Delgado in recovering "planted" funds and use the Crimson Fleet to annihilate SysDef as revenge for family lost during the Narion War. I apologize for the lengthy rant.

Adding Darkstar to my NG+ space god run really made the late game a lot more enjoyable. It added new receipes and items you had to go out and grind for to make some really cool OP guns. I peppered in some mods to increase the difficulty across all the systems. Thanks for the video. Fav thing to do is to pick a random planet and see what it has to offer.

Nice video! I'm still in my 1st play through at lvl 162. I have all 50 achievements, got all 19 snow Globes, have the 6 Akila Museum Coe history books, and have all 17 magazine completed sets, well all but 2 magazines, one is quest locked, the other has a bug, otherwise have 15 completed sets. Completed Shattered Space and just trying to get my 3 last achievements there. Have not gone into NG+ yet, doesn't really interest me, but will do it, since I have to go through with Revelations quest. I may just complete surveying all systems to 100%. Then try NG+.👍😊👨‍🚀

I got a little bored with it after awhile. 26 days of game time before getting bored. That’s 26 x 24 hours. Rev 8 is a blast. They even updated dialogue for the main Constellation companions so they react to your insane Rev 8 jumps and maneuvers.

Have you tried an "iron man" run yet? You restrict yourself to only use what you mine, manufacture, loot or scavenge with your own hands. It is so much more challenging than even the highest difficulty ratings, but it so much more satisfying.

That last goal should have been to collect ALL the Powers before entering Unity each NG+ (Don't forget the last ones at the Lodge...) It's extremely exhausting but offers the best reward due to bringing your character extremely close to Godhood. I really hope all the future modders and players who claim that starfield is "boring" was paying attention. Not only was he giving suggestions of things you can do to not be bored, but he was also adding mod ideas that we could really use to keep the player playing the game as well. @@beepbooploot it's awesome. First visit the Eye. Keep asking him until there is no more. Then he will be at the Lodge To speed things up look for the temple while standing on your ship before heading there. And switch to easier difficulty before entering. This will speed up the collection puzzle process. Always be ready to fight once you exit the temple. And always save. (It crashes sometimes...)

Mt bounty hunter board has been empty for a few days now.... I'm bummed since that's literally my playthrough. Another cool option with the bounty hunting is just landing in random cities and getting all the bounties

Honestly ive been enjoying just roaming and surveying planets on my latest playthrough got to my first temple and started to just land on planets and scanning ive gotten like 5-6 levels since I started doing this while i do find a nice planet for my home outpost. Trust me dont sleep on scanning planets its great for xp ive scanned like 3 or 4 full systems in the top Nw portion of the galaxy map just pulled into sol for it One of the things i like the most about the game is one of the things people hate and thats how empty the galaxy is cause this is how space exploration should be after whats happened in the galaxy in the last 200 years

Freestar rangers glitched for me and my lack of saving while building my outpost means that to reload a save before the glitch began I'd lose 5 hours of outpost work. I wonder if others have had a similar issue on Xbox

@@beepbooploot tells you to wait for Mei to introduce the red mile but she never does, she just wanders round having the same conversation with the bartender and leaning on the railings. Nothing prompts it when you talk to her either. There were plenty with the same issue on reddit when I looked for a fix unfortunately so I'll be ignoring the quest until new game +

I don't understand the Trackers' Alliance, maybe someone can help. I finished the initial bounty hunt with Roach and was accepted as a full member. I was told that I can now accept bounties from the board and that there is an elite board downstairs. Not only is there no elite board downstairs (there is a bar, the NPC to exchange Astra and a robot), but the bounty board upstairs is empty and just shows my finished bounty. How do I do more bounties?

In the basement there’s a back room with a mission board and research computer and a robot like Vasco. Have you checked that room? That is the Tracker’s Alliance board.

@@beepbooploot Can't check right now, but yesterday I went there and the robot was there. I could ask him what he is doing and he told me that he helps trackers find their targets. Behind him were two black panels.

I’ve given Starfield a significant chance. Around 200 hours of play. I’ve played through the main quest, played vanilla AND Star Wars modded the hell out of the game. I’ve completed nearly every quest line, and have only radiant quests left as things I can do. I’ve found that the best thing to do with Starfield is to delete it from your hard drive, and then play any other game. Truly wish I had not committed to this game.

Agreed! First, I set out to see how small I could make a ship that still had everything I need. My current game I did the sane as you and converted a Varuun Eulogy into a four storey cruise ship with everything for passenger comfort, crew quality of life, and enough storage to do every supply mission.

I was stocked with primers so didn't even notice that requirement for anything other than the research project. You can still build an ammo outpost and bring in primers but yeah, that's a very good point! Thanks for pointing that out.

The faction quests are great. After completing them and the majority of side quests I finally returned to the main story line.....and lost interest....after 200 hours in the game....I need to return and finish the main story and I've only completed 1 of the main npc story lines. Does anyone know if Shattered Space continues with your character after completing the main story or are you playing as a new character.?

Glad you enjoy all the side content! As for Shattered Space I don’t think anything has been 100% confirmed but it’s been implied it fits into your first play through, you don’t have to have beaten the main story first. Hope that helps!

This game was made for people who love to use their imagination and role play as you get lost in the world. I got hundreds of hours in this game and I'm not slowing down anytime soon. I've always said that a lot of the people who tried and it didn't like it was because they played it like a looter shooter and looter shooter only. Great video! I love seeing these instead of the algorithm chasing hate videos. You definitely earned a sub from me.

Already done that, still bored, the planets are all the same, rather replay Fallout4 (for the first time on Xbox on survival without mods and no guns), at least has human designed terrain, not AI generated. I have the right to be bored I've played for 700h, done all the quests more than twice, played into NG+7, played at least 6 regular new saves, tried the mods, the buggy etc. There's no point there's more open world games that I didn't finished yet.

I got 2 paid and one was the mairner hab for the infinite storage chest on my vanilla save so I can get those achievements 😂 The free mods for that one made it worth it overall. The spacers overhaul was the other that modder added so much free i use wanted to help the cause 😂

@@beepbooploot Mods are tricky. I don't like mods that change too much or that are big overhauls. I tend to use ones that say add a craftable armor rather than on that changes all the armor in the game itself. Atmospheric mods or weather mods tend to break things in my experience. There are mods that will conflict with others so read the descriptions well. Just add a couple at a time and test it. Always keep a clean save

been bored, so stripped the clothes off all the Astral Lounge NPCs (well not all, but most, as the mod doesn't allow all), and starterd to dance there among them in lingerie, while trying to get good dancing pics with Sarah (which is difficult, as she stops dancing as soon as you get close to her)... ... seems degenerate?.. well, what do you do to wind down after a dangerous mission? ofc go to the Astral Lounge and let it rock!

Want to have fun in Starfield? Ignore the "main quest". It's only there for people who need to be told what to do and be held by the hand in an open world game.
