I've been permanently put in the prison, got a crime stat for a mission bugging out and spectacularly failing yesterday, I proceeded to do the mining for merits system but earning extensions cause trolls were constantly attacking me and I had to defend myself, earning me more time inside, I completed it once and was hit with a bug where the inmate processing elevator wouldn't work, it'd open to a void and if you try walking through it, you earn yourself even more of a crime stat cause it counts as "escaping". Before discovering that, I tried repairing my character which reset me to my home on orision, but unfortunately wouldn't remove the crimestat, tried paying off the fines which were increased to 90k+ which didn't remove the criminal rating but just ate my in game funds, my game now consists of being in prison for the rest of my life for a crime that I didn't commit, 4.0 for me is just prison simulator, great 😅

I found in eptu that if the prison elevator opens to the void, stay in and go up and down until the server picks it up and sends you back to Everest harbor.

Recopy and character reset are identical and works fine in the ptu... character reset MUST be returned so players do not get shard locked for months and ignored by cig is exactly what cig does..

Why not have janitor missions? “Collect 10 pieces of trash at Port Tressler for $1000?” Sure, some players might abuse it by buying a bunch of cheap stuff, throwing it on the ground and getting paid to pick it up, but I cannot imagine someone doing it for 15 minutes without loosing their mind.

Error 30009 locked out for 5 days on a corrupted shard..ticket submitted was not even read.. auto response with no reference to error 30009.. so will be locked out for weeks if not months because they removed the full character reset not allowing you to play.. cig refuses to reset your account as well.. just left and ignored.. good excuse to reduce bandwidth and keep masking it..

I cleared that server error by going into a map in AC and then back into the PU. Fixed the 30009 error for me and my nephew. It's been an intermittent problem for years. I found the fix back in August on "The Reddit" of all places.

Empty bottles can be stacked. When one at 0% is removed from the stack to the character's hand, it will now be 100% full. Consequently, a player only ever needs two bottles for infinite sustenance.

I can’t even leave prison and the reason for me being there is stupid. There was a bounty in a trespass zone. I died trying to avoid the turrets, somehow got a level 1 crime stat, and ended up in prison. Now I can’t leave.

Server stability seemed fine, but I was trapped in my hangar for over a week until someone ferried me to a station. Which was hard to coordinate when chat was disabled for most of that week, and you can't scroll through the online members list without it refreshing before you get halfway through the alphabet.

I only play a few times a year and am I am an original backer from day ONE!! 4.0 and all Christmas releases are always so exciting, yet never work. I have never been able to have a stable play for more than maybe two to three sessions in a row on any version I jump in on from time to time. For someone sooooo patient for now a decade, I keep just shutting er down and checking back months later. Hopefully one day. Bored Gamer?.....so happy you are still here after all this time. Keep up the great work on your end.

Issue councel. Where dozens of hornet nose issues are labelled as 'fixed'. I got some nasty opinion about that. Somebody is not being honoust. Either the reporters are making stuff up, or somebody got a fix-stamp.

as picking up Bottles and Med gowns... What happens to server when you toss all that stuff of the side of Orison? Just curious. I would normally put bottles/cans in bins when available, but not all stations have them (like the lobby in Area 18 or I haven't seen one in the space port in Babage near where you buy the cans. Use to store garbage in ships until the blow up.... NOt sure that helped, but. Yeah, Have seen that stuff ben throw of the edge of Area 18 and Orison ass wwell.

I recently had an EXCELLENT experience with 4.0; I accidentally tried to request the hangar open and switch to an exterior view, and got confused: instead of hitting [Alt] + [N], I hit [Alt]+[F4], because my fingers then hit the "N" key after I realized what I had just did. OOPS!! so I immediately logged back on to find myself still sitting in my hangar, and with the mission still intact with the place markers showing where to go. I have never disconnected and been able to pickup where I left off, well, not during the IAE for the past couple of years. Having two versions running and this one keep the mission after an accidental disconnect is SWEET! I love persistence.

I love the lights on the outside on the Starlancer. Such a beautiful ship. I have been having alot of fun in my friends Starlancer doing cargo hauling and manning his turret. Would be great to own one myself.

I have hit a few bugs. Salvaged (or insurance fraud of a ship) would despawn after a while (or claim). Entire MOBI (missions, friends request ect) being blank for a day. Bounties not spawning for the qualification missions. The list goes on, but hasn't stuck around permanently (except the ship weapons). But dam is the game running smooth. My rig (for the first time) hit over 100fps in space and during bounties I only had Dsync/hitching 1 time.

My buddy and I were doing a bunch of bounties around Crusader. The weird things that happened to us were sometimes only one of us would get the target location jump point, and on one mission the server crashed and when it recovered we still had the mission but the NPCs were now white. We still killed them, did not get any crime stat, and had to wait a few minutes for the mission to count as completed, but it still worked out just fine

When the game is running, it's incredible. 4.0 is a massive leap forward. Biggest problems i have encountered is not being able to leave the hanger because of an invisible door or door that closes instantly. Secondly many cargo tasks are bugged and according to my friends lots of merc and bounty missions are bugged too. The 4.0.1 patch cant cime sooner. Im glad cig put out 4.0 early so we the players can find the game breaking issues so they can get fixed right away.

The only issue i had last night was massive lag. I was literally stuck on the NB rail trying to get to the space port but my screen was frozen so bad that it took two tries just to get off the train. And forget GT. It took me nearly 30 minutes just to get Port Tressler.

Getting kicked when the server is at max capacity and the acreeen goes black log back in not where I was at… have to recall ship loose progress. I just want to log in where I disconnected or logged off at. Even if it’s in space with no ship.

My biggest complaint is no elevator works, and you csn barely get out of the hangar and ghost ships spawn in hangar with actual collusion. But the bug report system is so tedious you don't wanna do it.

Having made my first jump from Stanton to Pyro the other day, it was perfection. Then as soon as I got to Pyro and purchased my armor, backpack, and gun and them bugging out so I couldn't interact with them I realized there were some pretty big issues that they need to fix yet.

Until last night (Monday night), there were bugs, but everything could be worked around. But then I started getting the black screens. Today, they're happening often enough and fast enough that I can't even get out of the station. Everything will be smooth and running well, except for missions, right up to the black screen.

I like the idea of cleaning up the landing zones for a small amount of credits. That way I have a way to purchase a flight suit after dying of thirst when I spawn in the hab with 5% hunger and thirst.

Before the hotfix build was integrated into the 4.0 preview build, 4.0 ran quite well. That isn't to say there weren't issues, but none so bad as the ones I've gotten since this integration. Having said that, the server performance has generally been spectacular.

Only missions I had were salvage (I don't have a vulture or reclaimer), bounty hunter (target shots don't register or there is no target), and hauling (cargo doesn't exist at pickup site and pickup marker is wrong). Without a Prospector or mole, there's not really anything to do even if I could leave the station. Guess I'll just keep waiting. I feel like my life is just living one giant loading screen for this game

glad to see that there is still some attention being paid to the troubles that 4.0 is experiencing. glad its not as bad as 3.18. Hopefully they can get everything up to date and eliminate all the legacy and place holder systems soon. but even when they do those systems will also need optimizing and refining so I don't expect huge leaps and bounds in performance just yet. perhaps later in the year if things go smoothly for them and they can move at or ahead of schedule for once.

Indeed a very well done Server status, Did not play the game for couple of days due to major bugs. But I have to say it, been a backer for over 4 years! The servers are running amazing! If they keep up this rate of updates and not rounding corners this can possibly be a game by the end of 2025!

My trash goes in one of three places: 1. At a landing zone I put it in a trash can. 2. In my hangar I throw it into the elevator that goes back to the lobby. 3. Out and about I throw it out the airlock.

I never had such a bad time in the verse as with the current 4.0 version. Tried to complete a single hauling missing and i was unable to do so for 12 hours. Tried different servers and what not. It always came to the buggs where either the cargo elevators didnt work, i got crashed to desktop and wasnt able to join back or a bug where i couldnt land at a station cause it always noclipped me to the whole thing. Very frustrated and wont touch it again until they start fixing bugs.

I'm honestly surprised with the consistent good performance I've been getting since 4.0. Things are running smoother and more responsive for me than ever before. I'm also running a 1070ti and 9600k with 32 gb ram which is fairly dated hardware. I'd honestly go as far as to say it's the smoothest I've seen the game run. Not one crash, disconnect, game breaking anomaly or random needs to reinstall, it's nice.

I think that CIG did the right thing in releasing this alongside the previous version rather than instead off. Playing in 3.24 seems a bit pointless but we have a choice and that's always a good thing.

Performance varies greatly between servers. Some are nigh impossible to do anything yet others are functional, if not performing fantastic. There is obviously still a lot of work ongoing over the break. Gotta respect the hard work.

I only have non verified contracts (salvage and mercenary) after I went to prison after a mercenary mission after killing presumable friendly NPCs by accident. I served my time in prison and have no more crime stat. But I don't have any legit contracts zero. is this normal? I never had a crime stead before. I have switched servers, logged on and of. Still no contracts. Or is there something in game I have to do? To get normal non criminal contracts again? Any advice would be appreciated.

Yesterday I had to reset my character because all my refining work was undone once I started shipping the refined ingots from Pyro to my home world. The game just kept freezing jumping. So I eventually lost all my money spent on refining. All on Issue Council.

Got stuck in Kleisher and the exit elevator would not spawn me out- ever for two days. Would be great if this was fixed. Otherwise it is awesome.
