I liked how the senior engineer knows just what to do and makes great use of the minimum required tools. He has done this more than once! I am also impressed with the teamwork. It's funny to me, that I didn't understand more than 4 words (pipe, bore, pump, & generator).

My brothers and friends dug some water wells by hand in the summer of 1976 using similar a-frame tower an auger that was 10” and suction tube ... most wells were around 70’ to 90’ deep used 10” clay tiles ... lots work ... this video brings back my Mississippi memories

me and my family have done something very similar. we did not drill, but we have hammered a metal pipe with a spike similar to the end of the pipe you have attached at the end of white plastic pipe. around 10m if i am not mistaken. and than i have been pumping by handpump. almost 12 hours until the cavity have grown big enough. tedious work, but well worth it. we now have our own deep well and don't have to pay for the water supply. thumbs up for doing it the old fashioned way. it must have taken ages.
