For drilling in-house borewell you need to have at least 15-20 feet of height above the place where you want to drill the bore and there should not be RCC foundation exactly below the hole. The place should be such that drilling equipment can reach the place. You can concern your architect who build your house to know how exactly foundation is done.

Shafi Hasan 70,000/- is overall cost for Borewell including submersible pump, casing pipe, water pipe to surface, electrical panel and cable. Piping outside borewell to water tank is additional which depend on how far is your tank.

Jay Shivray. Thanks for your comment. See I am not professional in this matter to answer this question but can give you some suggestions. Before you do any plantation get your soil tested and concern with nearest Krishi Vidyapith they can guide you properly. I think for 50 acre banana plantation you need a lot of water so water well would be better option instead of bore well so that you can have reservoir. Bore is drilled mostly in dry season when ground water level is at the lowest this way one can make sure that water will be there in dry season too. Do complete study before you start plantation. All the best.

Its all depend upon nearest water source, if there is river flowing nearby or Dam then you might get water in the range of 50 to 120 ft. But on the mountain it can go upto 400ft. This is just rough estimate what I have seen in Konkan region.

Shafi, Small machine as in video can go deep till 300 feet if one has to go deeper then bigger machine can be used. Bigger machines requires wide area for it's movement and is suitable in open area like farm. Hole size is also bigger so casing pipe size increases. See there is a catch borewell drilling contractor always quotes price per feet for drilling which might be less for bigger machine but the actual cost is for casing pipe, cable, pump and panel. Deeper you go price will increase but exactly how much more that I cant say. You will have to check in your area.
