Borgio Velezzi is a village of around 2,100 inhabitants in the province of Savona, in Liguria, and has been voted the most beautiful village in Italy.
We visited it at the end of October, driving back to Provence from the town near Florence where we'd been staying (the journey took about seven hours).
We were surprised to see many bougainvilleas still in bloom, probably because Liguria is so warm in autumn. And although it's a very small village, the church was very beautiful and big so I was lucky to get in.
I was also happy to talk to one of the locals!
It's a small village, so we spent less than an hour going round it.
Finally, the Italian motorway service areas are also presented.
