"Adjust track is clutch for locking the motion perfectly"

Excited to give this a try. I’ve been struggling tracking a hallway door that has camera shake and a bit of motion blur. No defined contrast between door and walls have made it hard to track.

This looks very useful, I often have shots where the object is rotated at too much of an extreme for the old adjust track method, so it would fall over for a few frames. Or something would be occluded an make it hard to continue when it came back in.
@BorisFXco3 жыл бұрын
That's great! This is exactly what the new AdjustTrack was made for.

I was watching this video 10 times. But i don't understand anything((( HOW IT'S WORKS? Do you have another tutorial about the principles of this new feature?

@@BorisFXco What would help here is a visual aid helper by putting in an overlay view of a guide track (overlay color option) of path lines (meaning top and bottom path lines). Because this way you can see visibly when a shape of a square box (monitor screen) has move away from the top or bottom (trace) path lines. Including something along the lines of an After Effects advance graphic editor, which makes it easier to correct the tracking path. Because the user already knows where the screen monitor is going to be at the beginning and where it's going be at the end. So a top and bottom path line makes sense, but can it be implemented?

I think mocha is amazing. But you do need better instructors: Teach slowly and very clear, like the one from Substance Designer. That will help a lot!

Interesting, I find Mochas Instructors quite good, Mary does speak fast but she is very clear and covers allot of detail and her tutorials are extremely useful, Martin is great as well.

slower?? these short tutorials are perfect.

I've been working in MOCHA for two years and I love it so much! But adjust track is the most terrifying , unnecessary clunky and incredibly user unfrienly tool, and new adjust module is even worse. Regardless of how many crappy tutorials I watch (especially from this Mocha girl that always does her best to make videos as less comprehensive as it could possibly be) it's almost impossible to do it right. In the end it's somehow falling apart along with the reference frame.

Sorry to hear that you are not having success with AdjustTrack. It is an advanced module and should be used sparingly when you have track drift. The key to solving difficult Mocha tracks is typically first, go back and retrack with different track options or shapes before going to AdjustTrack. Possibly, you are using it instead of focusing on getting better tracks? You may want to watch the full Mocha Essentials training series found here: borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ As far as instructors, your comments are expressed quite rudely. Boris FX puts a lot of effort into delivering free training and is always looking to improve. If you are looking for other training options, you can find them on Linkedin or FXPHD. Lastly, if you would like to ask for real help please go to the Mocha forum where are team is ALWAYS very willing to help: forum.borisfx.com/c/mochapro/

Cant you make some tutorials, that aren't on super basic stock footage with zero motion? - In practice this is never the case, and as a beginner, I have zero idea on how to troubleshoot. If you did tutorials on clips that are difficult, you'd have to troubleshoot, thereby showing me how.
@BorisFXco4 ай бұрын
People learn in different ways. If we started with really complex shots then that could be too many buttons to push for beginners trying to learn the software. If you want some ideas on troubleshooting, take a look at the Mocha Essentials classes. Ex 3 gives you a grounding in why your shape and track type might not be the best fit for the footage. Ex 7 is called "When It All Goes Wrong" and Ex 10d is "Trouble with Tricky Tracks". Here's some useful links. Also consider joining the forums or Discord channel to get community feedback and help on your shots: borisfx.com/free-training/mocha-essentials/ borisfx.com/videos/mocha-pro-adjust-track-advanced/ forum.borisfx.com/ www.borisfxdiscord.com/

Terrible tutorial, just pushing buttons quickly is not that helpful.

Sorry to hear that. We have another one that has a deeper dive into what AdjustTrack is and when to use it here : borisfx.com/videos/mocha-pro-adjust-track-advanced/ Hopefully this one will be better for you.
