@@chainman1why are you misinformed? It’s really is sad to see this. The negotiations would have seen Russia widhraw from Ukraine, and the territories would be status quo. No territorial changes. And it’s just that Ukraine shouldn’t seek nato membership and bring nato troops right on Russia doorstep. The Russian and Ukrainian negotiators had made this agreement but it never happened because boris Johnson came and said that Putin should not be negotiated with, when Putin literally offered to give the occupied territories to ukraine back. Basically the situation would be the same as before the invasion but boris wants the war to go on. The amount of brainwashing in the west is the level of north korea

If you genuinely believe that Putin would negotiate in good faith, you’re the one who’s misinformed. Of course he doesn’t want a nato member on his doorstep, but this is about his own personal delusions around ‘restoring the glory of the former Soviet Union’. He won’t stop at Ukraine. There’s something psychologically wrong with him.

@@Thunder_Tracks NATO are already on his doorstep. This is about his delusions of grandeur and his sentimental yearnings toward getting the union back together…and he’ll do anything to achieve that. I’m afraid it may be you who is misinformed. He’s a thug and a criminal. Can’t be negotiated with in good faith.

That is something that no-one seems to understand. They just keep on pounding the wardrum and don't realize how much is at stake at the moment.. I think that Boris get's his commands from upper level of "society", so he's like a labradoodle that just does what he's told and get's well paid from that. Let's not forget that war is a BIG f**ing business.. And the busines seems to be good for arms manufacturers.. Meanwhile we all have to pay the price one way or the other. Hunderds of thousands of lifes would have been saved without Euromaidan coupe that was orchestrated - well.. At least you know who.

I am upvoting this in the hopes that someone somewhere will look at this at some point many years to come and realize how monumentally stupid boris johnson was, how irresponsible. All Ukrainian lives that have died since Boris scuppered the peace deal are at his feet.

Who gives Mr Johnson the right to say: Putin must fall!?! Mr Putin is a very capable president and leader of Russia. Unfortunately, the West (US/UK) think they are superior to Russia, which is a big mistake. Russia is a sovereign country and should be respected in that way. Mr Putin will not let himself be pushed around or threatend by the West - he stands up and says: This is as far as you can go and no further!

Amazing! Boris appears to have absolutely no memory (and we're only talking about Mayor last year) of either his sudden and somewhat frantic dash to the airport or (and this is the real concern here) his resulting arrival in Ukraine where he paid a surprise visit to the heroic Mr Zelenski and managed, how we can only wonder, to convince him to abandon the peace agreement which he and Mr Putin had reached (needing only to be signed) and instead continue playing the lead role, as written, directed and funded by the US/NATO Benevolent Society. The negotiations were unusually brief and a happy Mr Johnson was soon on his way home, no doubt eager to relate his success to the above mentioned Benevolent Society. Mr Zelenski, showing no signs of disappointment, the conflict now apparently 'on going' could now ponder the small print. The peace agreement was not to be mentioned, at home he could continue with his ban on all media outlets (other than his government's), his jailing of any political opponents, the suppression of the Russian language and the persecution/murder of Russian speaking Ukrainians. The plan to crack down on large parts of the Christian Church, incarcerate priests and limit worship could also go ahead. The Directors would continue to fund his international travel and ensure his place on the world stage. The weapons would continue to flow, the Nazi brigades would be protected, Ukrainians will die in the hundreds of thousands and the possibility of a nuclear finale would be more likely. However, he would be ensured a place in history, his wealth putting him in the one percent and his wife would never want for shoes again! Thanks Boris, what a disaster peace would have been! So, Boris... I'll be interested to hear what you have to say when they are down to 'the last Ukrainian'!?

@@angeline12345 Please provide some evidence to back up your claim. I am in the habit of researching the background and history of anything prior to joining a discussion. I can provide more than enough information to show why I posted the comment but am open to anything that will show I have made a mistake. I have to say that I don't understand how, with the track record of lies, corruption, breaking of international agreements and laws military intervention in other countries, as well as many many thousands of dead civilians and the ruination of their country's infrastructure and seizure of its natural resources, people are so willing to support the US and NATO? What are your thoughts?

My initial response is a sense of wonder that you make a serious attempt to appear rational, knowledgable and claim the natural moral highground yet you make all the squeaky toy noises of a general garden variety vatnik, right down to an inability to focus on the main characters in this conflict. Just one tiny whim I wish indulged: do you EVER include Russian genocide in this? Whoops.. answered my own question: of COURSE you dont because then Preesident Zelensky would be in dire straits.
