This video accompanies Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on his trip to Lithuania on December 17th and 18th, 2023. It covered various bilateral discussions with the President, the Foreign Minister and the Defense Minister as well as the signing of the "roadmap" for the formation of the new brigade. A lot of time had been planned for discussions with the soldiers in Rukla: a visit to the troops at Christmas. Boris Pistorius is accompanied by the Armed Forces Commissioner of the Bundestag, Dr. Eva Högl, the Protestant military bishop Dr. Bernhard Felmberg, several heads of departments at the Ministry of Defense (BMVg) and members of the Bundestag from the budget and defense committees. The journey took place on the evening of December 17, 2023 with an Air Force A321. The actual visit program started the next morning. Here are the program items and chapters of the report:

In Lithuania, the Bundeswehr is part of the eVA (enhanced vigilance activities) and the eFP Battle Group (eFP = enhanced forward presence). The eFP is already the 14th rotation.
