A lot of truth there. Magicians need good theatrical directors. Actors know this, magician don't. That's why, as Darielle Fitzkee told in 1946-that magic is LOW on the entertainment scale. So much of what magicians do is theatrically unsound, and other magicians wrongly encourage them to keep "Doing what they've always done" (and getting the same results) Fitzkee also warns us (in SHOWMANSHIP FOR MAGICIANS) that magicians are NOT our role models. A good director would improve that act A LOT.

@dookiekong007 This is the "CLOSE-UP" format at FISM. In a "CLOSE-UP" format, you do not perform stage illusions like David Copperfield. Just thought I would clear that up.

I dont like how his Invisible Palm uses too much movement when revealing the cards on the table.

I know magician, they fall in love with themselves in a little room practicing all day. When they get out of the padded room. They usually need speech therapy. loll. Sad to say, but true. This guy thinks he's walking down a runway as a model. Now I expect some magicians to bad mouth my silly magic on my channel. I'm too old to fight:) Bring it on:)

doing card magic like this is not recommended especially on stage, I no its nice but this trick just has a bit too much moves. People like to see something big, not something they have to open their eyes wide to see. David Copperfield's exceptional bc his Grandpa's Aces is more straight forward whereas this trick has nothing surprising

I have to agree with you. From a theatrical point of view, there is SO MUCH wrong with this routine. (Np persoanl offense to hi, I am sure sure he's a good guy, and very dedicated to magic. But please-GET A GOOD THEATER DIRECTOR!)

i really disliked this. the stuff he was doing really needs a script. Its extrememly unclear.

I have immense respect for Mr Wild. I just dont think this works well as a 'silent' act...... there's not much of a hook to me. Im glad he won an award at FISM, and this has a few bits of cleverness, sure. But it just lacks concrete motivation, as a story.
