2019 scat sound better with the mid muffler delete

I like the muffler delete/straight pipe for the 2019+ scats and 2018+ r/ts. The redesigned xpipe gives them a more deep, throaty racing tune like a Mercedes AMG, Corvette C7R, or BMW M550I. Cant really tell recording from directly behind the vehicle, but from the side it sounds menacing. For the borla, putting that exhaust system on a 2019+ series scat would give it the 2018 and lower series scat tone in my opinion. I know a lot of people complain about raspy farts that come after revving the 2019s and up, but in my opinion it gives it a unique sound

I made this video just giving people a cheaper option than going with a much more expensive system. I did like the way it sounded but in no way was I saying this was best or only option. The Borla Atak system sounds really damn good and there many more options out there.

@@DrivewayDreams Thanks for the feedback, bro. Much respect. Just giving my opinion out there. I think Dodge created that Xpipe for the later scats and rts to give them a more distinct sound from the hellcats, which is why if you compare a 2018 scat with any model hellcat, the scat simply sounds like a hellcat without a supercharger lol.

@@DrivewayDreams Its all good bro 👍. In my honest opinion, aftermarket exhaust systems give an un-tellable difference in sound for MoPar, so its debatable. As for mustang's, camaros, and corvettes you'll be able to slightly tell the difference. If I had to choose good sounding exhaust systems, I'd say any Shelby GT500 with American Racing Headers w/ Borla or Corsa Pipes, a 2019+ scatpack slim/wide body with a simple muffler delete, a C7 Corvette with the same thing done to a mustang, or a C8 Corvette with SOUL Performance exhaust and cats. I gotta a lotta choices so it's hard to pick one lol 😅

I sold the scat and then my GT-R and now I am on the hunt for something new. I have been checking out C8 corvettes audi r8 v10 and lamborghini gallardos those would be my choices but I think a c6 or c7 corvette would be best for the channels future. Any thoughts

I have a 17 scat, I put borla atak on it. I can tell a small difference when it starts. But when you get on the gas that’s when I can really tell the difference in sound

I did like my muffler delete but looking back on it I would definitely go with a borla system. Chargers and Challengers sound good from the factory but with that little help it makes next level for sure.. What do you think about the next generation possibly going to a straight six with a turbo?

I totally agree it's not going to be the same without that rumble and supercharger whine. I was really considering a hellcat before I bought my Nissan GT-R. I was just worried about the depreciation of the hellcat but if they do change motors hellcat price should skyrocket. Just look what happen with viper prices when they ended production.

I prefer the sound of the mid delete...which I just did on my redeye yesterday and the car sounds like a beast. Personally, I like the sound of the more raw, dynamic sound of the mid delete. I even like the bit of rasp on the top on the upper rpm band. Sounds like a racecar to me.

@@jessicapikewhitehead9677 For around $100 I say start with the mid-muffler delete and see how you like it. It will be loud but, imo it sounds exactly how I want this car to sound. After driving it with the mids deleted for a while depending on your liking you can add either a cat back system or vibrants, etc.

If it is track or sport it does have some drone. Nothing to bad. You can still listen to the radio and talk on the phone at a normal volume.

Borla sounds nice, but it's pricey. Neither gives more HP, it's just about sound. I think vibrants give a nice sound more like the borla.

The borla definitely has a more manufactured sound and is what most people are looking.

I did not do it. The guy at the shop said it would be stupid loud if you delete them both.

@@DrivewayDreams I'm on the fence as well. I did the active exhaust delete and removed the motors and butterfly all together. I removed the mid mufflers and replaced with SLP Loudmouth 1's and left rear resonators. Mine sounds great but not sure if Borla will sound much better

Although I liked the mid muffler delete I think I would do a system thus time whether it be borla or corsa. They both sound amazing.

I really like hearing those popping sound. How was the loudness of it compare to stock? I think my stock is loud enough for my neighbors but I'm still hoping muffler delete would make it sound better not louder.

The Muffler delete will make the car considerably louder especially when the engine is cold. If you are looking for better sound that borla Atak system did sound really good and it wasn't that much louder than stock. It gave the car a deeper tone. My neighbors have not complained about mine yet and sometimes I have to go to work at 3am but I also start the car with the garage door closed. Cold starts are really loud.

@@dylandefeo4878 it is not a problem all. I have an hour drive to work and you really dont notice it once you are up to highway speeds. I used to have a flow master exhaust on a trans am and it used to drive me crazy its nothing like that.

My kiddo was just under 1 when I got mine done. She was able to sleep in the car no problem. The mid muffler delete does not create much cabin noise. The car will be kinda loud when cold but seems to lesson as the car gets warm. I am able to use my Bluetooth and listen to the radio and not have to have it up very loud. I feel like it’s apples an oranges as the Borla ATAK for that year Charger has a straight through muffler design if I’m not mistaken (making it quieter) and the new ones for the 15-19 scatpack have an off pipe muffler design which sound way louder in other videos. I’d be more curious if you could find another on with that exhaust from 15-19 year.
