Had the pleasure of seeing Luther play with JD Simo and a few other cats at the Analogue room in Nashville not too long ago and what a treat. He's sooooo incredibly creative, especially when paired with JD. Thanks for having him on. Cool to hear his thoughts.

I watched this dude “heckle” Luther one night at The Riley Center in Meridian, MS, on the Southern Soul Assembly Tour. Close to the end of the night Luther proceeds to put on the most absolutely beautiful, yet completely mind melting display of guitar playing I’ve ever personally witnessed. The man is an absolute monster on the guitar.

Saw him and Cody playing a gig on mud island with Lucero in the late 90s. Cody was jamming an electric washboard and it ruled. Talked to Ben (Lucero) afterward and he said that kid was the best musician he’d ever seen. Just an unbelievably musical mind. Pretty sure their dad played piano on several Lucero records, too.

Hey Marty! Awesome video as usual man! Could you please do some guitar video lessons + tutorials on “Weak” by SWV/JoJo, “He Wasn’t Man Enough” by Toni Braxton, and “How You Gonna Act Like That” by Tyrese, and “Easy Lover” by Phillip Bailey & Phil Collins? Great classic R&B/neo-soul & Rock songs right there. Thanks brother. Keep up the excellent noteworthy video content as always man!!❤👍🙏
