ILLUMINATE // LYRICS
Stand back and illuminate
Your presence begins to shape
History is bound to change
Stand back and illuminate
In this wreck I'll start to form
A new reason to believe again
It's hard to see the misery and doubt you breathe
I never thought I would see the end of your existence
Another dream that was broken from the distance
You build resistance, now I'm indifferent
Now I believe in nothing from you
A fate to face the world in secret
You never thought you could love again
After a while the dream was dead
A way to connect is all you needed
I'm ready to know, ready to see
I keep on searching what connects with me
The sensation of dissociation
Give me something to bring me peace
We are all searching for integrity
Another face, a human counterpart
Behind a mask to deceive us
You're holding on and you know it's all a lie
Time to leave it all behind

All the songs by this band seem to be filled with profound, hidden meanings. I always feel like I'm missing something.

It's because they themselves are human beings who vibrate at higher states of consciousness. There are tons of deep and hidden meanings in all of their music, however, you can also take it at face value and starting there is best if you're to take a journey down the BOO rabbit hole and learn what they're talking about at the deepest levels. I believe it was someone who studied Hermeticism that said, a man who tells you what he means blatanly only wishes to do you harm, a man who speaks to you in signs, symbols, and metaphors is someone who wishes to enlighten you, but not just hand you the keys to life and it's mysteries.

I've also had the pleasure of knowing them all since 2006. Met in Joliet, Illinois back when Ash first picked them up and they had just released A New Reign. Open Arms to Damnation was the first song I ever heard. Then, Abstract Art.

Yup. Screaming generic phrases like "open your mind" and "the answers are right in front of you" over and over again. Wow how existential. Same with the new Contortionist and Northlane albums that 17 year olds listen to and think is wicked deep. I like both albums for their sound but it's a bunch of contrived self-absorbed bullshit lyrically and it actually becomes a detractor from the music.

@WindyCityNick
@WindyCityNick 8 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Pilcher You're right man, Lee can't play anything off The Discovery. It's not like I saw them play Singularity, Two World of Design, Ascension, Recreate, and Follow the Signs after they kicked out Jason. You obviously don't pay much attention at all, Cameron has been the primary writer for the band since day one. He wrote all of The New Reign. The band has even released statements saying that Jason wrote XIV, Behold, the solo to Follow the Signs, solo to Dissimulation, and the breakdown to Regenerate and that's it. You can stop dick riding now dude. Obviously the band has gone in a different direction and if you don't like it you don't need to listen to it. In response to your comment about them only playing 00-000-00-000 shit, The Discovery was pretty much the same thing with layered leads over the top. Listen to the record again, it has just as much chugging as Soul Sphere. Funny how you trash the album because songs like Resilience, River of Time, and Free Fall sound

@WindyCityNick 8 жыл бұрын
+Brandon Pilcher Sound like they're off of The Discovery. There's a little bit for every fan on this album. There's some tracks that resemble TNR, others TWDA, and a few that sound like The Discovery.

I have always been attracted to BOO for their sound and talents... im in the process of a spiritual awakening and was randomly brought back to their music. All that time i listened long ago, I was not quite as receptive to the lyrics... they were on the path of awakening the whole time. Amazing and honestly gives me chills that the collective consciousness is raising its frequencies. A message to all that read: We must all rise above the illusion, the preception deception, and connect with the higher frequency that WE ALL ARE CAPABLE OF ACCESSING. Long ago, we were much more than we are today because of the choices weve been influenced to make. Remove the garage from your life, only consume that which raises your vibration and frequency. To all the men reading this, stop jerking off and drinking yourselfs to death. We are more powerful than anyone can imagine in a lower state. Rise up, connect and love with all your fucking might because THIS IS HOW WE WILL BE TRIUMPHANT AGAINST THE HIDDEN POWERS SCAMMING US OUT OF THE EXPEREINCE WE DESERVE. Promote peace and love, and stand up to what you know in your soul is injustice. Everyone must do their part. Thank you.

Out of all the bands i listen to. All gnarly.. but i will say every pause between breakdowns, chorus, prechorus and honestly throughout every song they have; they have they hardest best time beat drop where everything just connects and goes into breakdown mode with him still screaming. Different feels from them. Makes me feel like im listening to like architects voice range but with gnarly growls and screams. They different

Looking at these comments and many other comments on many other videos just tells me that the metal community as a whole has become impossible to please all they do is try an find any little flaw they can and then they rip the band to shreds for it. I don't want to be apart of a community that bashes creativity...

Dude I completely agree. I dont understand the bashing (with any type of music now) comes from. If one doesnt like it, they can fuck off. Idgaf if you listen pop,country,and or anything. If you like it its on you, and to like a song means it resonates with you. Its just popular to continously give shit to bands sadly.
