They’re a new version of what we loved about training shoes before it was a race to make the biggest shoes with the most “tech”.

@@AMRAP I’ve been die-hard Metcon 4 for like 5 years. I’ve tried all the current options and they all feel like too much shoe. Just want something that gets out of the way and you don’t really know it’s there but it’s doing it’s job. Reign5 seem to be my favourite so far. These look amazing but with $80 shipping to Aus, I’ll wait.

Hi Joel, could you elaborate on the weight of these? I always loved the Nano 8, which I have completely worn out. I do have the Nano X3 and Nano X Froning, but I find them way too heavy/clunky for things like burpees, box jumps, running. My feet are very wide, so I don’t like the Metcons. Occasionally, I do train in Vivobarefoot shoes, but there are many movements for which I would like to have more stable yet lightweight shoes. It seems that these Savage 1s can be a good replacement for the Nano 8. Do you think that they can be, or is there a better option in your opinion? Thanks for all your reviews!

Thoughts on some running involved say 200s/ 400s as compared to TYR, Nano, Metcon?

I would take them over all but I like running in more minimal shoes. They don’t have a lot of cushion but they’re more flexible and lightweight than all of those.

No. They’re not but at the same time they’re vibing in that general direction.
