As a 15yo trans boy who can't even put nos name on his accounts, wich is Logan, i felt and feel so seen. I've known Mattie for quite some time and seeing this made me cry, a whole freaking lot. Is through tears that i feel seen, validaded, loved and worthy of a life. I've been on survivor mode for so long that when Blaine said "would everything be better if i didn't exist?" I just knew, i knew exactly what that feels like, I've been through it. And having this to look at is maybe the most important thing about it. The representation. I've never seen any movies, shows, etc, with such an accurate and true representation as this, and for it I'm so greatful. This just changed my life for the better, because is everything i wanted to hear ever since coming out. Thank you guys for your amazing work, know that what you have done saved some lifes, and is helping heal other's. ❤

For any young guys struggling with their sexuality, and maybe questioning how heterosexuals could give birth to a homosrxual child. There are two current lines of thinking on that which seem to make sense... so forget religion for the moment, the chances of a boy being homosexual is higher it seems if the family suffered some sort of traumatic event while the mother was pregnant..... and the other suggestion is that in large families the chance of the youngest son being higher is well known. Now these two suggested causes which raise the chance of a child being homosexual are supported by sustistics. And certainly point to the fact sexual orientation at least in part is out of the childs hands and has some evolutionary advantage for a family to weather tough times. We would know lots more if religion had not declared war on homosexuals for the last 1000 years, even though the clergy seem to have a very high homosexual representation. There are plenty of bible verses supporting homosexuality and indeed an argument could be made both god and Jesus were homosexual... going back to Genesis 2:19-23, god made man in his image and all the plants and animal, and it was only after none of them served man that god made women out of some left over spare rib.... Indicating women were not part of god's original plan! Matthew 8:5-13 & Luke 7:1-10 Both have Jesus healing a gay Roman Soldiers male life partner...and calling the gay Roman Soldier a model of the faith.... Then we have David the guy good with a sling shot in love with Jonathan so much so 1 Samuel 18:3 making a covenant of love between them...( covenant of love is the term for marriage before 1200AD). 1 Samual 18:1 is probably the most romantic verse in the bible as it tells us David and Jonathan love each other so much their souls became one! 2 Samual 1:26 if you keep in mind the term brother was used between two men that were marriage to each other, called by the early church brother making....is worth reading! As for religious condemning of homosexuals...do take note of exactly what adultry is as described by the bible Matthew 5:27-28 ....as you know the bible commands adulterers be put yo death...yet the only ones not guilty of the bible definition of adultery would be homosexual men. As even young hetro sexual men have sexual thoughts about females they are not married to... it unfortunately condemns lesbians, if I'm interpreting it correctly. My personal view is religion is a scam...and homosexuality is the superior form of relationship, the only one capable of offering equality, and not having one side or the other taking advantage of the other!

Oh wow, Ummmm, what I would have given for someone to let me be me. My mom always supported me, and I suspect she knew who I was, but that did not matter to her. After she died, I was truly lost and left the place I was familiar with to try to be "normal". That did not work, and that church outed me and made sure anyone who knew me knew I was gay. Only one person stood with me and that helped me a lot. This is a video needed by younger LGBTQ, especially in this current day, to see that they are not alone and that tomorrow will be a good/better day.

While some LGBTQIT people seek out churches that may be accepting, I recon many move away for being involved with churches and religious faith. People can find spiritual fulfilment in other ways. Churches have afforded to loose a few members but carry on. Though some entrenched belief churches are falling away in western nations, but are growing in developing countries. Life's too short to get hung up on what others believe, be your true self to find happiness. There are many fundamental believers who would happily sacrifice anyone else they might think is an obstruction to their own salvation.

Omg this is so amazing. As a pansexual christian myself, this is something that I love to see. I love when people understand that the church is often the problem and not God. This healed my younger self a little bit, in middle school I always blamed the religion and myself for my differences. Thank you for dedicating your time into this, it has and can help people.

This just appeared in my recommended feed. I'm glad I watched it. I'm a 53 year old gay man who grew up in a very small, conservative town with a lot of churches. Being gay in the 1980s was not an option. I spent a good part of my 20s trying to be a "good" Christian. All I managed to do was hate myself and the "sinful" spirit in me. There were plenty of nights I prayed for this god I believed in to either take away this "evil" from me or don't let me wake up in the morning. It took me years to realize that I wasn't broken. It was the religious dogma that was broken. I'm so glad that this younger generation is able to be more open and find more acceptance. There is still so much more to be done and I hope that one day, we will all just be people. Each one of us recognized and treated equally and equitably. My favorite line in Lady GaGa's 'Born This Way is "In the religion of the insecure. I must be myself, respect my youth." Stay strong and never be afraid to live your true life because "baby, you were born this way!" 🏳‍🌈🏳‍⚧

When i was 11 i told my mom i was a lesbian and she gave me a lecture about how i was too young to know what that really meant and i just cried. Im 14 now and im trans boy. Ive told my mom many times how i feel about her misgendering me and everything and she still continues to do it because its "not that big of a deal" in her words.

While I agree with MOST of the messages in this, I still have to give this a 👎 for several reasons. First, the story is very uneven and the acting appears to start it out in the "middle" of any story they're trying to tell. Very uneven acting because of obvious lack of experience in either writer, director and/or producer which translates into poor acting. The absolute worst of this is that they didn't continue/emphasize enough the TRUTH about the "translation" of homosexuality in the bible. This is backed up. Instead, they simply (because it was easy) deflected to the bullshit of "god" and the bible and didn't put out anything real about what "religion" does to humanity. _Please don't show your ignorance by arguing this point._ Too bad. Some of the actors actually have some potential if they desire to pursue any acting career.
@penboyasgod6103

@@From.Our.Eyes.Documentary Your first and last statements are true. Everything in the middle of those two are nothing but total ignorance to state: 1) if *god created* lgbtq people to be the way they are; 2) if it’s the *will of god* ; and 3) I think *this standpoint is extremely needed.* All three of those statements show you're as problematic about this "story" as are the makers of this video. You "speak" as if there is, "in fact, a god." *There isn't.* You show you're just as brainwashed about "god" and "religion" as those who made this movie and so many others in our societies. I understand that it's "difficult" to let go of all this "god" bullshit and what your society has drilled into and brainwashed you with. You're just as bigoted as those who you "blame" by those 3 statements I pointed out. And you're afraid to give "god" up because you really don't know anything else to believe if you continue to say that bs. Don't get me wrong, "religion" is definitely a huge source of all this bigotry. But by you not recognizing this bigotry of yourself, you're just adding to it.

Whether you like it or not. Let's stop being "too gay for church and too faithful to belong to the LGBT*-community" - and begin with the basis of both faith and LGBT*: Love. 🌈🤍
