Gov't should connect the infrastructure like the road access to Gunung Mulu to attract more international tourism to visit Sarawak in future.

The far more feasible option is join the various rivers through access canals rather than tear up lots of forests to build roads to get to Mulu.

I have been here twice , the last time was to catch a plane to Mulu caves . Its a nice city with friendly people. Good hotels to stay .

Was born in East Malaysia… lived in Miri for 34 years. Was hard to leave but my kids came first. Went back several times… not able to anymore because of the damn Covid-19.

@@winwar516 Because Miri is relying on itself for development. It has oil and tourism but it lacks the population. Kuching on the other hand gets way more state fund and projects, it has the population to keep it afloat too. Miri does get state fund but it's way less than Kuching. Nonetheless, Miri as the second main city in Sarawak is progressing very well if compared to other second main cities in Malaysia. So I don't see anything wrong in people saying it could rival Kuching since, until recently, it has all the resources needed to rival Kuching.
