I watched this video this morning and am still thinking about it - thank you for sharing such a beautiful garden with us, I loved watching the tour and dreaming of warm and sunny days during a snowy and very cold (-10c) day here in Canada! It's nice to see such a variety of plants and they are displayed so beautifully and creatively, and you did a great job leading us through his garden.

Emil, is very knowledgeable, fun and handsome xox. He actually needs his own channel! His leafy catwalk was simply divine. Emils instagram has many varied cat walk versions, gorgeous! I used to work in Brunei, teaching many Iban children. I often drove into Sarawak and stayed in Niah National Park, to visit the amazing Niah Caves.

Yes the world needs to see more of him!! Your comments had triggered me to insist him buy a new phone or camera to film himself better😁

@@leafing.around Yes indeed, the world needs to see and hear Emil a lot more. I died and went to heaven watching his leafy cat walk…both styles. All the things he does…so many fingers in so many pies. Sarawakian Renaissance man.. I would so love to see the different plants a growing around Niah caves too. I found Emils knowledge of bush medicine from plants really very interesting and would like to know more. I also liked the food section and knowledge from your friend (the beautiful lady episode with the long chestnut hair) who is so knowledgeable, a great cook and made that incredible blue rice from flowers in her garden! Thank you Irene for a spotlight on Emil and your great content. xo

Hi Irene & Emil, loved this video Emil is such a welcoming & animated character & a very good educator. I want to say that I visited a plant shop here in Trinidad and Tobago, my Mother loves plants and she bought some flowering plants. There were some Bromeliads about 10 inches in diameter and it was about USD $53 (TT$350), That price includes a concrete pot. A foot tall Alocasia Polly in a regular black plastic plant is about $USD 38 (TT$250). A mini Anthurium with a flower or two, in a plastic nursery pot is about $USD 10 (TT$69), same price for small variegated Pothos in plastic pots, also larger variegated rubber, perhaps about 10 inches tall (not sure what pot), both were $USD 10. Philendron Monstera was $USD 53 ($TT 350), Algaonema, variegated was $USD 23 ($TT 150) . Phal Orchids that were flowering in small plastic cups were $USD 19 ($TT 125). Just to give an idea of the prices. Blessings. Love from T&T!

@@leafing.around Emil really is a renaissance man! to be masterful at so many things is rare. A gem in a sea of glass….. Emil posted this 2 days ago on his youtube channel "celebrating my big portudora alocasia.." on KZbin kzbin.info/www/bejne/opqpf4GOibhroMU His upright Portoria Alocasia (upright Elephants Ears) is huge with lovely scalloped leaves. His stunning and joyful dance (in a beautiful planty batik) is a great tribute. OMG I do think he just might really need crowd funding for a new camera and tripod Irene! Please P L E A S E go back and record him again with his variety of unique catwalks, dances and creative looks etc. Please also put his plantabulous cat walk that you filmed into your shorts as well. Congratulations on your plant filled tropical channel Irene! I absolutely love it. It reminds me of when I was living/ working in Asia for 11 years. I do look forward to your next plant filled adventure hopefully filmed mask less, to see their faces; as you are outdoors after all. Hopefully you might stumble upon an ethnobotanist, with an interest in local plant medicines? and a Jamu Specialist? (Junee knew a lot more I feel, btw has she found a partner yet? since you filmed her and she was hoping for one? How could such a gorgeous, talented, intelligent woman like her not be snapped up?) Jamu is a traditional medicine from Indonesia. It is predominantly a herbal medicine made from natural materials, such as roots, bark, flowers, seeds, leaves and fruits.Materials acquired from animals, such as honey, royal jelly, milk and native chicken eggs are often used as well. In 2019, jamu is officially recognized as one of Indonesia's intangible cultural heritage by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture. This knowledge is also in Sarawak and Malaysia. Orang Asli, Penan, Iban, Dayak, Bidayuh some still have this knowledge and this would be interesting for your viewers. Perhaps Emil knows more. Almost all our medicines come from the jungle and this is one of millions of reasons we need to preserve and protect them. Happy New Year Irene, or Selamat tahun Baru…Kiong Hee Huat Tsai Warm Regards Sez
