From a Plymouth fan, thanks for your kind words! Our aim is very different from yours obviously, staying up will be a miracle this year. However, it does seem we've turned a corner at least in terms of performance if not results, although hopefully they'll follow if we can keep up that fighting spirit we showed yesterday. As for 'Boro, all teams and all players have off days and yesterday might well have been one of those. I still think your underlying numbers point towards at least a top six finish and probably close to automatics.

Great review Matt. With two tricky home games coming up, it feels like the pressure is starting to mount. Let’s hope the team as a whole, improves defensively. Still lots to play for.

Spot on again Matt. I agree that the MFC hierarchy won’t be pleased about our current position or the reasons for it - and, of course, they shouldn’t be. The issue is, what are they going to do about it and how are they going to manage what could be a very tricky transfer window? I hope to see the right sort of grip evidenced - the rest of our season depends on it

Plymouth at home are fine pretty good tbh great for the neatuals that are based in the westcountry. But away from home its almost like the team has a nosebleed has they enter Somerset on an away day its so so strange. Will Argyle stay up anything is possible performance wise over the past 2 games have been better!

We all knew a few weeks ago that we aren't going up this season. That defence needs looking at and that left side badly needs to be to be sorted out, we just look so suspect and cannot cope, we don't look like we know what we're doing tbh. Manu will probably be on his way in January and we pray that the left side of the team is going to be seriously looked at. I'm not so sure that McGree looks happy also lately, really not convinced tbh. Also we need something else up front and could really do with a striker alike to Viduka, and 18 yard player with quick feet and a high IQ. Promotion is absolutely gone though, it's where we end up now and finish at the end of the season. Hopefully we'll strengthen that left hand side if we get a chunk of cash for Manu and hopefully bring in a bit of quality or a real prospect permanently and get them ready for next season.

It's starting to become clear that we will not be winning promotion under the current club management. A manager that is unable to be proactive with his tactics from the touchline, will never achieve any level of consistency that is required to be successful in achieving the club's aim and ambition. How can a manager stand by and watch the car crash unfolding at the full back positions and do absolutely nothing to change it. It is staggering how ineffective Carrick is from the touchline. Having slept on this overnight, I just don't think MC is progressing as a coach. If he was to have stayed in the changing room during the match you would not have noticed, his in game management is non existent. Get Bielsa in, at least he would set the team up to press aggressively. Which would be a start.

@@Kingshieldwall right now we ARE the worst team in the championship, based on position, goal difference and any other statistic used these days, he was only stating the obvious. Another question is whether we are turning a corner and about to improve not only performance but also points total, which I believe we are.

I dont think Boro have a good enough squad to even think of top 2. Im not sure why most boro fans expect autos l, especially players like Conway or Lath up top. Your best player is Azaz or Jones. The rest are all your average championship level. I think with a good run, playoffs should be your aim. Anything higher would be a bonus. I had us (Argyle) to go down. Even more so under rooney. Recruitment has been poor and the rotation of players due to 8 injuries hasnt helped. Phelan has helped tactically, which was evident with our first half display but when we get put under the cosh, we collapse. Having said that, your third goal came from 2 mistakes in a minute from Mumba. If he hadnt of given the ball away and conceded the corner and actually defended a corner instead of watching, and just managed the game, we would have won. And Edmondson is a lucky boy. I've seen those given. Another 3 3. Build on that and recruit well in Jan, we may do a last day survival jobby. You guys can make playoffs for sure. Consistency is key in this league. Unfortunately, we have been consistently 💩

I think Plymouth were uncharacteristically sharp today in duels and ball carrying I thought it made us look worse. But some really poor performances nonetheless. Hackney howson is a disaster every time. I love hackney but if he tries to nutmeg someone on the edge of his own box again I'm going to pull my hair out. Is he playing suicide-Ange ball to put himself in the window for spurs🤣🤣 I'd love to hear in your more professional opinion why Carrick won't make earlier subs if you have any theories because mcgree had to come off for burgzorg earlier for me (we needed more pace and power) Great game to watch though if nothing else UTB and roll on boxing day.
