Many people are saying that the dancers should not wear bihu gamsa around their waist. The reality is Bodo tribe have given birth to this gamsa or gufur fali. This Deori chutiya sonowal moran boro rabha etc tribes ie tribes of plain have been using this gamsa for centuries and now they bodo tribes have just forgot that it was part of their culture. Mainao labwnai, sijou gainai in ithese all rituals gufur fali is used. In Bwirathi dance they wear gufur fali around their waist. The gamkharu or asan mutha, junbiri, is also used by bodo and other kachari tribes from centuries. Now people only know about aronai. I want to question have they heard about sudang, saodang, mogor fali, ogrong dokhona,gwmw-gwthang-nila-gwja gabni fali. All these were used by the kachari tribes. Now some of these are used as cultural identity like Gwmw fali-sonowal and rajbongshi Gwthang fali-sarania Gufur fali-so called caste assamese or harsa, chutiya Gwja fali-deori Saodang- rabha pajar design is same Sudang-garo Ogrong dokhona- still in use by sanjari women, moran, deori, sonowal traditional dress. Mogor fali- earlier in kherai of sanjari bodos it was worn. Still some doudini wear it. Asan mutha-mainly worn by doudini of sanjari bodo, deori, chutiya, sonowal, moran, harsa bihu dancers, rabha, sarania, after ahom came they adopted the gamusa, gamkharu, junbiri from these tribes.
