Very common in people who move away from where they have a noticable accent from. I see it in my dad all the time, every time he goes back to his home town his normally washed out accent is back in full play.

Its normal. Its destroys the track. Burnout pads are concrete and can take the abuse. Tracks cannot.

Standing burnouts damage asphalt. Most tracks don't want the damage. That's why burnout pads are generally concrete.

No burnouts at what's essentially a burnout even makes a lot of sense!? I bet the only reason they were so "understanding" is cause you are a famous KZbinr.

Burnouts put a lot of heat into a very small area, if the surface is asphalt (like it is there) you can quickly melt the track surface which tracks (obviously) don't like. This is why burnout pads are usually concrete.

My first taste of drifting was actully at Calder Park back in maybe 02 or 03, they had some guys from D1 come over to do an exhibition which was amazing. Alexi you were still in Australia at the time I think, do you have any memories of the event I'm talking about? I believe it was called Drift Nationals or something similar.
