Bortnikoff won me over with Amber Cologne, Lao Oud, Oud Monarch, Tabac Dore! ❤️ and Triad. New collection, out of Dream, Rich and Marrakesh, you absolutely have to get Marrakesh. It is just so damn good..

Finally! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Triad is in my top 3 Bortnikoff’s together with Oud Monarch and Oud Maximus. Also, tempted to blind buy the 2 new releases Le Voyage Oriental and Oud Al Sultan. Saying that, i’ll rather save the monies for the Feel oud collabs. Any spills on the collabs Rams? 😬

Glad to see you did a review of Triad. I don't like rose so much or rose/ oud combo. But MFK Lumier Noire Homme is a top 10 frag for me. Triad is great, and so elegant. The ouds are great, and the rose is so photo realistic. Bortnikoff uses a lot of florals in a great way, as you say. They are usually in the background. With Triad, I think the rose stands out more than any of his other ouds with rose. I have a 9 ml of Triad. And I may get a bottle some day. I don't need to explore any more oud/ rose combos. As I don't think it gets any better than Triad. I'm retired guy who enjoys fragrance mostly for myself. But with Triad, I think you will be more attractive to others. The rose is so likeable and elegant. I can wear it confidently to Church or people gathering.

Long have I promised myself to grab a bottle after receiving a sample with a full bottle of,I think Amber Cologne??,but I went for his bigger hitters over time and it got forgotten,now the new releases on way 😮so yeah that’s my story on my remission to get this one for a couple of years now shocking lol ,and the remiss continues it would seem. Hey you got to the Guerlain Vetiver EDC version! Guerlain has knocked it out of the park on all of their versions through the years. Been exploring the Bortnikoff house through Fragnanimous. So far so good, hard to pick a favorite👍

Ram, just wanted to say that I snagged a bottle of Azuree on your recommendation. The ribbed bottle, 60% full 2 oz bottle for $70. Kinda risky/expensive blind buy, but holy crap it's AMAZING! The best way I could describe how it smells to me is Mitsouko + Bandit. Thanks for the awesome heads up!

I tried this entire house up through 2021. I only own Triad now. I actually am indifferent but my wife loves this one on me. It’s never ending longevity and the quality is insane, I’ll give it that.

Are Triad and Lao oud worth to buy in 2024? Because some people said that there was a reformulation issue which make those two not as good as they were first released

@@RawaRontek-ec9ws Triad, by a lot. But Triad is more rose-forward and lighter in style than Lao, which is a spicy scent. I found Lao to be similar to Oud Monarch - but I preferred Monarch by a lot.

Bortnikoff went a bit of the rails with some of his creations and releases in early 2023. Seems he wanted to offer a more mainline scent with some Cologne creations. I think he realized he needs to get back on track with his original philosophy because his new creations and collections end 2023 are just fantastic.

I am always willing to try Bortnikoffs work as 3 or 4 years ago he changed the way I look at Oud and Artisnal Perfumery... unfotunately a lot of his new stuff has a been a miss for me... but if I could add one full bottle of his work to the collection that I dont have a full bottle of it would be Triad 🙂

The big question is, Oud Maximus or Triad. Tested both, both have their ups and downs. And I want to get a full bottle of either one, just to have one Bortnikoff in my collection. Triad is less animalic to my nose but it's more rose + oud when Maximus feels more animalic but the yellow flowers make it more exotic. Decisions decisions.

Ramsey, Bortnikoff sells these 9 ml you can get from luchy scents. You probably know... With a large colection as yours, a 9 ml of Triad may last you for years. About $80 for 9 ml. Not such a big investment. But for Oud, there are better Bortnikoffs.

My sample of Triad has somewhat similar rose to Oud Maximus. In general I remember thinking that owning them both is a little bit redundant.

Maybe just the Rose but I didnt find the compositions to similar.... other than they are both oud frags 🙂

Plus one for sealing up juice nice and tight. I hate when precious liquid evaporates over time. Sometimes all you really want is 2-3 mL but the universe has other plans. Evaporated perfume is literally evaporated money. 💸

Yup exactly ... I have a love / hate relationship with those dabber vials as I like to spray...but sealing up the juice nice and tight is important 😬

I’ve never tried “indie” brands before. How does the quality compare to something like a Roja or Clive Christian at the same price point? I’m debating which one to get lol, either this or Roja Taif Aoud

Well I have a review of Taif Aoud on the channel you can check out I am not saying Roja fragrances arent using real oud because they might be (although I doubt it and I have never heard Roja say his brand uses Real Oud) but Rojas frags to me dont smell like the Real oud used in brands like Areej Le Dore/ Bortninoff / Ensar Oud / Sultan Pasha Attars etc to me. Now this is just my opinion and everyone is different. So if you want to experience a fragrance that uses oud in a way that smells like real oud is being used I would recommend one of the Indie brands...but you can get samples first... dont blind buy if you arent familiar with Bortnikoffs work ... get samples first And I have a lot of vidoes on the these indie houses Go to my playlists and find the brands ...Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply! Agreed that Roja doesn’t use any real oud, and I found the “Aoud” line really disappointing. I’m wanting to step up to the real stuff, but with sales on ATM, I can get a bottle of CC X for example half the price of this. I still think I’ll go for Triad though. Thanks for the help!
