Not only this year, but from 2011 from 2013 it was a real dream for us. The team was so strong, it was so much fun to watch. And many great players. Reus and Götze were almost unstoppable together, Lewandowski was an absolute monster in front of the goal. Our defensiv was one of the best in the world with Schmelzer, Hummels, Subotic and Pisczcek. the best dortmund team i have ever seen. playfully a feast for the eyes. you were happy even as a non-dortmunder to see this team play. It's a shame that Götze then went to Bayern. I can imagine the dominance this team could have had over the years if götze, hummels and lewi hadn't switched to bayern. with additions like kagawa and aubameyang, bayern would never have won nine times in a row. the champions league title would only have been a matter of time.

This is another indication of what a sensational manager Klopp is. The intensity and work rate and attacking philosophy the Klopp implements in his teams was evident in this Dortmund team and he carried it over into Liverpool when he took over there. And he’s shown that he can compete with bigger teams, however losing 3 out of 4 Champions League against slightly better teams isn’t a bad reflection on Klopp or the teams he builds.
