Bosch AXT 25 TC VS AXT 2200 HP. What is the maximum capacity of my garden shredders / chippers.

I have 2 great machines and in this video I test them with some fresh cut willow tree. The 25 Tc model have a better capacity but it is a bit more noisy and it is much higher priced. The 2200 HP model is easy to find used for a good price and the capacity is sufficient for most users. It is very quiet but the intake were branches are inserted is not as good as on the 25TC models. There are newer versions of the 2200 HP model (called 22 D) that could be a better buy than the 25 TC model if price is important.

Think we should take the max with a grain of salt, but anyway it is incredible that they are able to cut large branches

Yes I don’t think 45 mm is really necessary, I would make firewood out of that size. But it is good to have extra capacity if needed and it means that it will chew down everything I might ever need to have chopped.

Thanks for this video man. Getting the TC model seems like, it's quite pricey, but after a day of use of the Lidl shredder, returned it. It did work well for the 1st hour, then it just wound't shred. I'd prefer smaller bits for compost, but need to process bigger branches, so will get the TC model. 500e though...ouch. Way over my budget.

Hi! Great that you like the video! The 25Tc has a high price but as the Americans say, Buy cheap and cry twice (the original purchase and the “real” purchase) or buy quality and cry once. Perhaps you can find a used one in good shape?

Sant! Skulle vara häftigt att bygga en med samma teknik (öppen vals) men med en 3 fas motor och 5-6 kW.
