The main difference between the dishwashers is the number of features.
Bosch Dishwasher 500 is an improved version of the Bosch Dishwasher 300, so the advanced version has more features and better specs than the old version. Some of these features include extra dry functions, an info light, and better racks, which help improve the effectiveness of the machine. Therefore, the series 500 dishwasher has an advantage in improved features.
Drying function
Bosch Dishwasher series 500 has an extra dry feature that effectively dries your dishes by combining the high water temperature and auto air functions. Series 300, on the other hand, uses the condensation drying process or the hot rinse, whose performance is poor compared to the Series 500.
Time display
Bosch Dishwasher series 500 has an LED info light and time light display that indicates when the cycle is in session and how much time it has left to complete it.
Storage

Bosch Dishwashers? All kidding aside, worst god damn dishwasher I have ever owned and I'm 67. On AVERAGE 1/3 of dishes do not get clean, regardless of how or where they are positioned...after six month of practice you can still count on rewashing 1/3! Second, NOTHING fits! There are too many tines, all going different directs, all slanted and too close together. Seriously, after paying a grand, my wife wants it out and back to our old $400 Whirlpool. The Whirlpool Quiet Partner out performs, easier to load, etc. Tines are all vertical and in simple rows and widely spaced...makes it a breeze to load. ONLY advantage, it is quiet...I've heard that if you buy one your eligible to get a "SAP" tattoo across your forehead! Glad to see someone has had success; have had mine for over six months, tried EVERYTHING, just unloaded, a typical load...RESULT: 5 Bowls, 1 Spoon, 1 Cup, and 2 Plates have to be rewashed, i.e. HANDWASHED...that's about average! I'd show a picture/video if I knew how. I know it looks good, but bottom line...at least the 500 series…SUCKS.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner lasted 15 years, work horse, replaced heating element, good on cleaning, great on loading, poor on noise. @@alli138
